The City Commission met in regular session, Mayor Dudley and Commissioners Hedges and
Coonse voting aye on roll call.
Moved by Dudley,seconded by Hedges; that the minutes of the regular meeting of Monday,
June 4th,1928, be approved as read; carri ed, Dudley, Hedges and Coonse voting aye oh roll
call.
RESOLUTION NO.B- 1054,=, IT RESOLVED BY TIM CITY COMMISSION OF THC CITY OF YAKIMA,
WASHINGTON:
That it is i-ts intention to improve Sixteenth Avenue South from Division Street
Uo Lenox Avenue, Seventeenth Avenue South from Division Street to Bonnie Doon Avenue,
•and. Eiwhteenth Avenue -South from Division-Street to I9aclaren Street by grading and paving
the same with either a one course Portland. cement concrete pavement, -a -"Vibrolithic"
-concrete pavement, o2 a pavement having a• Portland cement concrete base and either a
bituminous concrete wearing surface or a "Bitulithic" wearing surface, by constructing
concrete curbs along- each side of said pavements, the curb on the east side of Sixteenth
Avenue South to be sixteen ' (16) feet from- and parallel with the center line of said
avenue from Division- Street to the point where the street car track enters said avenue
-and eighteen (18) feet from and. parallel with said center line from said. car track to
Iffest Washington Street-, the curb on the `vest side of Sixteenth Avenue- South t-o .be sixteen
•(16) feet from and parallel with the center line of said. avenue from Division Street for
a distance of one hundred seventy five (1.75) feet southward, eighteen •(18) feet from and
parallel with said center line from a point two hundred (200) feet - so•uth of Division
Street to the point where the street car-track leaves said Avenue and sixteen (16) feet
-from and, parallel with-said center line from said car track to Lenox -Avenue, the curbs
-on Seventeenth Avenue -South and Eighteenth Avenue South to be twelve •(12) feet from,
-parallel with and upon each side of the center lines of said. avenues,- by constructing
-pipes and drains where necessary for drainage and irrigation- purposes,_by constructing
sidewalk approaches -at street intersections, and by doing all such other work as may be
-necessary in connection therewith, all in accordance with plans and specifications
•the'refor to be prepared by the City Engineer and to be filed with the City Clerk.
All persons who may desire to object to said proposed improvement are hereby
notified to appear wnd, present such objections at a meeting of the City Commission to be
-held at its offices -in the City, rOffice Bui -lding in the City of Yak ima,'Nashington, at the
hour of nine., o ° cl.ock,A.M. on .1-fonday, the 2nd day of Jul•y,1928, which time and place, are, .
-hereby fixed for the hearing of all matters relating to said proposed improvement, all .....
-objections thereto and. for determining the method of payment therefor, and the, City Clerk
-is hereby directed to-give due notice of said hearing and of the intention to make the
aforesaid improvement.
The cos,.t and. expense of said improvement shall be borne by and assessed against
all of the property' legally and properly assessable therefor, as provided by law, and. the
City Engineer is hereby directed to submit to the City Commission, at or prior to the dat
-fixed herein for said hearing, all of the data and other information required by law to
-be submitted by him.
