The City Commission met in- regular session,Mayor Dudley and'Commissioners Hedges and
Coonse voting aye on roll call.
Moved by Dud.ley,seconded by Hedges that the minutes of the regular meeting of Monday,
14ay 14th,1928, be approved as read;carried,Dudley,Hedgf : s and Coonse votinc7 aye on roll
call.
Moved by Coonse, seconded by Hedges, that this being the time for receiving bid.s for
paving Nineteenth Avenue from West Chestnut Street to Division Street in Local
Improvement Dietrict No.449 the following bids were received: For.One C.ours.e Concrete
Pavement, Midstate Contract Company, $ 11, 226.75;A.Oo.'vVilson,$11,383.03; R.A.Geary,
$11,429.45; Geo.rl.Savage Co., •;11,548.73; Vitrolithic Concrete Pavement,Midstate
Contract Co.,- .$12,070.1.-1 for 6 inch and ,11,402.45 for 5 inch; Bituminous Concrete on
Concrete Base,Geo.M.Savage Co., $11,408.17; The bid of.Midstate Contract Company for
$11,226.75 for $11,226.75 was accepted as the lowest and best bid for one course•con-
crete pavement and the T,Tayor and City Clerk are authorized to execute a contract
therefor;carried,Dud.ley,Hedges and Coonse voting aye on roll.call.
Moved by Coonse, seconded by Hedges, that the bond of the Midstate Contract Company,
Contractor, for X11,226.95 for paving Ninettenth Avenue from vilest Chestnut Street to
Division Street in Local Improve:�ent District No.449 is hereby approved and filed with
the City Clerk;carried,Dudley,Hedges and Coonse voting aye-on roll call.
?3ESOLUTION N0.?3- 1051.: BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMTiUSSION OF THE CITY OF YAKIUA,
TAS'IINGTON: That it is the intention of the City Coimmission �.to improve all that part
of the City of Yakima,'flashington, bounded on the north by Barge Street, on the east
by Homewood Addition, on the south by West Yakima Avenue, and on the west.by-Twenty-
sixth Avenue, by the construction of a vitrified clay pipe sewer six .(6) inches in
inside diameter, along the following lines:, Beginning at -the end of the sewer here-
tofore constructed to serve Lots 1 to 12,inclusive, of Homewood Addition, and extending
thence westward 310 feet, inclusive of the construction of one flush tank and. twelve
wye branches, and by doing all such of pier work as may be necessary in connection there-
with; all inaccordance with the plans and specifications therefor to'be prepared by
the City Engineer and filed. with the City Clerk.
All persons who may desire to.object to said proposed improvement are hereby
notified to appear and present such objections at a meeting of the City Commission to-
be held at its offices in the City Office Building in.the City of.Yakima,u'4ashington, at
the hour of 9 o'clock A-11 * Monday, the 28th day of May,1928, ,ohicli time and place are
hereby fixed for the hearing of all matters relating to said proposed .improvement, all
objections thereto and for determining the method of payment therefor, and the City
Clerk is hereby directed to give due notice of said hearing and the intention to make
the aforesaid improvement.
The cost and expense of said improvement shall be borne by and assessed
against all of the property legally and properly assessable therefor, as provided by
law, and. the City Engineer is hereby directed to submit to the City Commission at or
prior to the time fixed herein for said hearing, all of the data and. other'information
required by law to be submitted by him.

RESOLUTION NO.B- 1052,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF YAKIT-JA,
WASHINGTON:
That it is the intention of the City Commission to construct an irrigation system
for supplying the following described property with ,viater for irrigation and domestic
uses, to -wit:
All the property in Block 4,Hillcrest Addition to the City of Yakima,Vlashington,
by the acquiring of the necessary rights of way, water and water rights for furnishing
water for irrigation and domestic purposes to all o f said property ,and.the m nstruct-
ion of a pipe line connecting with the existing pipe line at Twentieth Avenue South
and
and Street, thence east along Maclaren Street to the alley between Nineteenth
and Twentieth Avenues,South, thence north along said alley to Division Street,together
with the necessary service connections for the purpose of delivering water for irrigation
purposes to each lot within the proposed district, all in accordance with the maps,
profiles,-plans and specifications therefor to be prepared by the City Engineer and file
with the City Clerk.
The City Engineer is hereby directed to submit to the City Conmissi on at or prior
to the date fixed herein for said hearing, all of the data and other infor_nation re-
quired by law to be submitted by him.
The total Bost and expense of the construction and installation of the aforesaid
water system, the purchase of the necessary rights of 'way, water and water rights,and
all cost of engineering and surveying,advertising,clerical labor and all other expense
incident thereto shall be borne by and assessed against the aforesaid property accordin
to the special benefits conferred thereon.
All persons who may desire to object to the proposed improvement are hereby
notified to appear at a meeting of the City Q,o:nmission to be held at the City Office
Building in the City of Yakima ,Washington, at 9 o'clock A.M. on Monday, the 28th day
of May,l`,28, which time and place are hereby fixed for the hearing of all matters
relating to said proposed improvement, all objections thereto and for determining the
