S 1 D January 22, 1940 The City Commission met in regular session, Mayor Riley and Commissioners Washburn and Clark present on roll calla Moved by Riley, seconded by Washburn that the minutes of the regular meeting of Monday, January 15th and adjourned meeting thereof be approved as read: carried, Riley, Wash- burn and Clark voting aye on roll call. ORDINANCE NO. B -431, entitled, "AN ORDINANCE fixing the time of delinquency of install- ments of assessments levied for the payment of the cost of the improvement in Local Improvement District No. 536,. and. providing for the issuance of bonds with coupons at- tached for the payment of the unpaid portion thereof ", was introduced by Clark and read by the City Clerk. .Moved by Washburn, seconded by Riley that Ordinance No. B -431 be passed to its second reading and read by title only:. carried, Riley, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll call. r Moved by Washburn, -seconded by Riley that Ordinance No. B -471 be passed to its third reading and. read in full: carried., Riley, Washburn and Clark �,oti.ng -aye on roll call. C -448, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF YAKIMA, WASHINGTON: _ That it is.its intention to construct a water system to serve all the lots and tracts of land included within the following district: Beginning a_t the intersection. of 20th Avenue South with Nob Hill Boulevard; thence westerly along Nob Hill Boulevard to the southwest corner of the East Half of the West Half of the SE`_ of the SW4 of the NE4 of Section 26, Township 13 North, Range 18 E.W. M.,' thence northerly parallel with the center of 21st Avenue South to the south right�of -wa.,y line of the Natchez and Cowychee Ditch Company's Canal; thence easterly along said right of way line to a. point 140.55 feet east of the east line of 21st Avenue South; thence southerly parallel with the center line of 21st Avenue South to Bonnie Doon Avenue; thence easterly along Bonnie Doon Avenue to 20th Avenue South; thence southerly along 20th Avenue South to the point of beginning; said improvement to consist of the installation of the necessary mains, fire hydrants, valves, and other appurtenances for the purpose of supplying water for domestic use, and all of said construction shall be in full accordance with the plans and specifica- tions to be prepared by the City Engineer and filed with the City Clerk. All persons who may desire to object to said proposed improvement are hereby notified to appear and present such objection, if any, at a. meeting of the City Commission to be held at'its office in the City Hall in the City of Yakima., Wash- ington, County of Yakima, at the hour of ten o'clock A..M., on Tuesday, the 13th day of February, 1940, which time a.nd place are hereby fixed for the hearing of all matters relating to said proposed improvement or objections thereto, and forr-determining the method of payment therefor; and the City Clerk is hereby directed to give due notice of said hearing and of the intention to make the aforesaid improvement. The labor for said improvement shall be furnished by the Works Projects Administration, and the remaining cost and expense of said improvement shall be borne by and assessed against all of the property legally and properly assessable therefor, as provided by law and as above described; and the City Engineer is hereby directed to submit to the City Commission at or prior to the date fixed herein for said hearing, a.11_ of the data and other information required by law to be by him sub- mitted. Beginning at a. point on the south line of Tieton Drive 135 feet west of the west line of 24th Avenue South; thence southerly and parallel with 24th Avenue South a. distance of 600 feet; thence easterly and parallel with Tieton Drive to 24th Avenue South; thence southerly along 24th Avenue South to the south line of the NW4- of the NW4 of the NE4 of Section 26, Township 13 North, Range 18 E. W. M. ; . thence easterly a. long said south line to a point 140 feet A r6:u- east of the easterly line of 23rd Avenue South; thence northerly to the South m line of Tieton Drive; thence westerly along said south _line to the point of beginning; said. improvement to consist of the installation of the' necessary mains, fire hydrants, valves and other appurtenances for the purpose of supplying water for domestic use, and to.be constructed. in full accordance with the plans and specifications to be pre- pared by the City Engineer and filed with the City Clerk.
