The City Commission met in regular session, Mayor Riley and Commissioners Washburn and
Clark present on .roll call.
Moved by Riley, seconded by Washburn that the minutes of the regular meeting of Tues-
day, December 26th, 1939 and adjourned meetings thereof be approved as read: carried,
Riley, Washburn and Clark voting aye- on roll call.
Moved by Washburn, seconded by Riley that this being the time for the hearing on Resolu-
tion No. C -444, providing for the construction of a domestic water system to be known
as the "Hillcrest Domestic Water System ", and there being no objections in writing or
otherwise to said proposed -improvement or any part thereof; it is ordered that the or-
dinance creating a Local Improvement District be passed as finally read: carried, Ri-
ley, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll call.
ORDINANCE NO. B-4 -27, entitled, "AN ORDI•NANCt providing for the improvement of property
in the City of Yakima, Wa.shrington, by the construction of a wat -er system;- e stab•li shing
a local improvement district; providing for the method of payment therefor;• and cr. Dat-
ing a special fund ", was introduced by Clark and read by the City Clerk.

ORDINANCE NO. B -1428, entitled, "AN ORDINANCE amending Section 3 of Ordinance No. A-
1207, entitled "AN ORDINANCE relating to the Public Health and Sanitation, providing
for and regulating the collection, removal and disposition of swill, defining offenses,
providing penalties and repealing all ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict
therewith. ", and declaring an emergency ", was introduced by Riley and read by the City
.Clerk.
