Moved by Riley, seconded by Washburn that the minutes of the regular meeting of Monday, December 18th, 1939, and adjourned meetings thereof be approved as read: carried, Riley, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll. call. Moved by Washburn, seconded by Riley that anew Ford Sedan be purchased for the Police Department a.nd the City Clerk is hereby instructed to issue a warrant on the Current Expense Fund in the sum of $$506.52 to the Burrows Motor Company in payment thereof: carried, Riley, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll call. Moved by Washburn, seconded by Riley that the following claims be allowed and the City Clerk authorized to issue warrants on the following funds: Current Expense $6,856.16; City Street $2,253 72; Park $6.24; Cemetery $5.00; Fixed Estimate $203.00; Revolving $$1,06 2.31; L.I.Ds 1170.64; Irrigation $$62.67; Water $1,152.55; Crusher $308.14; Bond Sinking $$2.52; P. R. & P. $6.25; L.I.D. Guaranty $697.25; Municipal Garage $11,668.27; Cemetery Trust $17,943.84; Water Deposit $$546.00; Larson Library Trust $116.00: car- ried., Riley, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll call. Moved by Washburn, seconded by Riley that the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to enter into an agreement on behalf of the City of Yakima with Sam Christoff and wife, in the sum of $400.00 for the removal of a barn adjacent to the Municipal Airport and for such other and further relief as provided for in said contract, which contract is dated December 26th, 1939: carried, Riley, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll call. Moved by Riley, seconded by Washburn that we do now adjourn to meet Friday, December 29th, 1939 at 9 o'clock A. M: carried, Riley,- Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll call. Moved by Washburn, seconded by Riley that we do now adjourn to meet Saturday, December .30th, 1939 at ten o'clock A. M: carried, Riley, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll call. B -426, entitled, "AN ORDINANCE declaring that a public emergency exists, providing for the expenditure of certain sums of money for various debts of the City of Yakima, and fixing the estimated amount of such expenditures as near as may be es- timated and. declaring an emergency ", was introduced by Washburn and read by the City Clerk. Moved by Riley, seconded by Clark that Ordinance No. B -426 be passed to its second reading and red by t itle only: carried., Riley, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll call.
