Moved by Riley, seconded by Washburn that the minutes of the regular meeting of Monday, December 4th, 1939 and adjourned meeting thereof be approved as read: carried, Riley, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll call. Moved by Riley, seconded by Washburn that the claim of Walter H. Rothe in the sum. of $111.49 for damages alleged to have been sustained by reason of his car being struck by one of the City cars on North Third Street in the City of Yakima,,is hereby denied: .carried, Riley, Washburn and Clark v oting aye on roll c all. RESOLUTION NO. C =444, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF YAKIMA, WASHINGTON: That it is its intention to construct a water system to serve all the lots and tracts of land included within the following described district: Beginning at the intersection of Grandview Avenue with Orchard Drive; thence westerly along Orchard.Drive to 34th Avenue South; thence southerly along 34th Avenue South to- the south line of the North. Half of the South Half of the Southeast Quarter of Section 22, Township.13 North, Range 18 E. W. M.; thence wes- terly along said south line to the west line of the NE- of the SW4 of the SE-.1 of said Section 22; thence northerly along said west line to Orchard Drive; thence easterly along Orchard Drive to Glenn Drive; thence northerly along Glenn Drive to Summitview Ave- nue; thence easterly along Summitview Avenue to a point 284.28 feet east of the easterly line of Hillcrest Avenue;.thence southerly to a point 297.5 feet south of the south line of Summitview Avenue; thence easterly 266 feet; thence southerly 165 feet; thence easterly 660 feet to Grandview Avenue; thence northerly along Grandview Avenue to Summitview Ave- nue; thence easterly along Summitview Avenue to 30th Avenue North; thence southerly along 30th Ave- nue North to Barge Street; thence westerly along Barge Street to Grandview Avenue; thence southerly along Grandview Avenue to a point.163.9 feet north of the center line of West Yakima Avenue; thence westerly and parallel with West Yakima Avenue to Hillcrest Avenue; thence southerly along Hillcrest Avenue to a point 140 feet south of the south line of West Yakima Avenue; thence easterly and parallel with the south line of West Yakima Avenue to the'east line of Orchard Drive Addition; thence north along said east line to the south line of Ext. of West Yakima Avenue Addition; thence easterly along said south line to Grandview Avenue; thence southerly along Grandview Avenue to the point of beginning; said. improvement to consist of the acquiring of right of way easements and the install- ation of the necessary mains, fire hydrants, valves and other appurtenances for the purpose of supplying water for domestic use:; and. to be constructed in full accordance with the plans and specifications to be prepared by the City Engineer and filed with the City Clerk. All persons who may desire to object to said proposed improvement are hereby notified to appear and present such objection, if any, at a meeting of the City Commission to be held at its office in the City Hall in the City of Yakima, Yakima County, Washington, at the hour of ten o'clock A. M., on Tuesday, the 2nd day of Janu- ary, 1940 which time and place are hereby fixed for the hearing of all matters re- lated to said proposed improvement or objections thereot, and for determining the met- hod of payment therefor; and the City Clerk is hereby directed to give due notice of said hearing and of the intention to make the aforesaid improvement. The cost and expense of said improvement shall be distributed as follows: The labor for this project shall be furnished by the Works Progress Administration, and the ba.lanve thereof shall be borne by and assessed against all of the property legally and properly assessable therefor as provided by law.and as above described; and the City Engineer is hereby directed to submit to the City Commission at or prior to the date fixed herein for said hearing, all cffthe data and other, infor- mation required by law to be by him submitted.
