Moved by Riley, seconded by Washburn that the minutes of the regular meeting,of Monday, November 13th, 1939 be. approved as read: carried, Riley, Washburn and Clark voting on roll call. Moved by Riley, seconded by Washburn that the following payrolls be allowed and the City Clerk authorized to issue iarra.nts -as follows: City Street $1263.08; Crusher $48.19; Sanitation $840.75;,Cemetery $84.00; Cemetery Care $125.00: carried, Riley, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll call. RESOLUTION NO. 0-443, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF YAKIMA, WASHINGTON: That it is its intention to improve the following streets by the construction of concrete curbs and utters: Second Avenue.South from Campbell Avenue to Lenox Avenue; Broad -. way from 'Division Street to. Lenox Avenue; 4th Avenue South from Queen Anne 'Boulevard to Stewart Street; 5th Avenue South from Division Street to Stewart Street; 6th Avenue South from St. Helens Street to Stewart Street; Cornell Avenue from Division Street to Stewart.Stree.t 7th Avenue South from the south line of Ba.rtholet Addition to the south line of the NWm of the NE4 of Section 25, Township 17 North, Range 18 E. W. M.: 8th Avenue South from Division Street to the south _line of.the NW4 of the NE4 of Sec. 25 Township 17 North, Range 19 E. W. -M.; 9th Avenue South from the north line of the SW4 of the NEl'of Sec. 25, Township 13 North, Range 18 E.W.M. to.Lenox Avenue; the south side of division Street from 8th Avenue South to Broadway; Queen Anne Boulevard from Division Street to Peach Street; Peach Street from 9th Avenue South to Broadway; St. Helens Street from 9th Avenue South to the alley east of 8th Avenue South; also from Cornell Avenue to Broadway; Baker Street from Cornell Avenue to Broadway; Stewart Street from 9th Avenue South to the east line of Yakima, Acre Tracts; and from Broadway to the alley east of 2nd Avenue South; also the north sider,of Stewart Street from Cornell Avenue to Broadway; the south side of Campbell Avenue from Broadway to the alley east of 2nd Avenue South; the north side of Lenox Avenue from-the alley ere.st of 10th Avenue South to the east line of Yakima. The district to be assessed is described as follows: Beginning at the intersection of Lenox Avenue and Broadway; thence All persons who may desire to object to said proposed improvement are hereby notified to appear and present such objection, if any, at a meeting of the City Commission, to be held at its office in the City Hall in the City of Yakima, Yakima. County, Washington, at the hour of 10 :00 o'clock A. M., on Monday, the 18 h day of December, 1939, which time and place are hereby'fixed for the hearing on all matters relating to the said proposed improvement, or objections thereto, and for determining the method of payment therefor; and the City Clerk is hereby directed to give due no- tice of said hearing and of the intention to make the aforesaid. improvement. The cost and expense of said improvement shall be distributed as follows: The labor and a portion of the materials shall be furniGh.ed by the Works Progress Administration, and the balance of the cost and expense, including engineer- ing, inspection, advertising, publication of notices and. all other expenses incident thereto, shall be' levied and assessed against the property included in the district as is legally and properly assessable therefor, as provided bylaw and as above de- scribed; and the City Engineer is hereby directed to submit to the City Commission, at or -prior to the dste fixed herein for sa.id hearing, all of the data and other infor- mation required by law to be by him submitted.
