The City Commission met in regular session; Mayor Riley and Commissioners ': .Va.shburn
and Clark present on roll call.
Moved by Riley seconded by Washburn that the minutes of the regular meeting of Mon-
day, October 1�th, 1939 and adjourned meeting thereof beapproved as read: carried,
Riley,. Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll call.
Moved by Clark, seconded by Washburn that this being the time for the hearing on the
assessment roll in. Local Improvement District No. .534, providing for .the construction
of an irrigation system on 28th Avenue, Barge and other streets in-the City of Yakima
and there being no objections in writing,or otherwise to said assessment roll or any
part thereof; it is ordered that the ordinance confirming said assessment roll and
every part thereof be passed as finally read.: carried, Riley, Washburn and Clark vot-
ing aye on roll.call.
ORDINANCE NO. B- 405, entitled, "AN ORDINANCE confirming the assessment roll covering
Local Improvement District No. 534, as created and established by Ordinance No. B -317
of the ordinances of the City of Yakima.", was introduced by Riley and read by the City
Clerk.
Moved by Clark, seconded by Washburn that Ordinance No. B-;-405 be passed. to its second
reading and read by title only: carried, Riley, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll
call.

scribing the powers and duties of officers and others in relation thereto; defining.
offenses; providing penalties and repealing certain ordinances concerned with or re-
lating to the subject matter of this ordinance, and declaring an -emergency"; provid
ing penalties and declaring an emergency ", was introduced by Riley and read by the
City Clerk.

RESOLUTION NO. C -440, A RESOLUTION authorizing conveyance by suit Claim Deed of the
property hereinafter described to Yakima County for park purposes.
I WHEREAS, the following described property, to -wit:

was.heretofore conveyed to the City of Yakima for park nurooses,.said deed containing
the following restriction:
"To have and to hold the said premises
with all and singular.the appurtenances
unto the said grantee and. Its successors
for, and only for, use as a public park
or playground11;
and
WHEREAS, the City of Yakima has been unable to improve Said
property or to establish a park thereon because of lack of funds, and it is for the
best interest of the City of Yakima, its inhabitants and the public generally, to con-
vey said property to the County of Yakima for park purposes, a request for such con-
veyance having been made by the people living in the vicinity of said property; now,
therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED That the propereofficers of the City of Yakima
be, and they are hereby, authorized to execute and deliver a. proper Quit ClaAm Deed
to the County of Yakima of all its interest in the following property,,
