The City Commission met.in regular session, Mayor Riley and Commissioners Washburn
and Clark present on roll call.
Moved by Riley, seconded by Washburn that the minutes of the regular meeting of Monday,
September 11th, 1939 be approved. as read: carried,-Riley, Washburn and Clark voting
aye on roll call.
Moved by Clark, seconded by Washburn that the City Clerk is hereby instructed to give
notice to bidders for the purchase of materials for the construction of sewer systems
known as the 24th Avenue Sewer, the 9th Avenue South Sewer and the sewer in Block 1,
Edson's Second Addition;-said bids to be received. on Monday, October 9th, 1939 at 10
o'clock A. M: carried, Riley, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll call.
Moved by Riley, seconded by Washburn that we do now adjourn to meet Thursday, September
21st, 1939 -at nine o'clock A. M: carried, Riley,.Washburn and Clerk voting aye on roll
call.
ADJOURNED MEETING, THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 21, 1939, 9 A. M.
The City Commission met pursuant to adjournment, Mayor Riley and Commissioners Wash=
burn and Clark present on roll call.
ORDINANCE NO. B -397, entitled, "AN ORDINANCE amending Section 71 of Ordinance No.'A-
205 entitled. "AN ORDINANCE to provide for the protection and preservation of the public
health, and providing a penalty for the violation thereof; repealing ordinances num-
bered 20, 75, 76 77, 117, 124, 134, 19o, 194, 205, 230 ,259, 375, 403, 449, 471, 497,
529, 532, 533, 547, 681, 6922 6842 727, 737, 8M A -22, A -301 A -39, A -69, and A -83 and
all other ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict herewith, and declaring an
emergency," was introduced by Riley and read by the City Clerk.
Moved by Washburn, seconded by Clark that Ordinance No. B -397 be passed to its second
reading and read by title only: carried, Riley, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll
call.
Moved by Washburn, seconded by Clark that Ordinance No. B -397 be passed to its third
reading and read in full: carried, Riley, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll call.
Moved by Washburn, seconded by Clark that Ordinance No. B -397 be passed as finally
read: carried, Riley, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll call.
