The City Commission met in regular session, Mayor Riley and Commissioners Washburn
and Clark present on roll call.
Moved by. Riley, seconded by Washburn that the .minutes of the regular meeting of Monday,
August 21st, 1939 be approved as read: carried, Riley, Washburn and Clark voting aye
on roll call.
Moved by Clark, seconded by Riley that the claim of Mrs. Thoma =.H. Thompson for damages
in, the sum of _ $750.00 alleged to have been sustained by reason of injuries received
by falling into the gutter on the east side of North Second Street approximately 100
feet north of Yakima. Avenue on the 13th day of August, 1939, is hereby denied: carried,
Riley, Washburn -nd Clark voting aye on roll call.
RESOLUTION NO. C =426, BE I,T' RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF YAKIMA,. WASHINGTON:
That it is.its intention to construct pipe sewers with the neces-
sary wye branches, manholes, flush tanks and ��rater connections therefor, to serve the
following described) district:
Beginning at the southeast corner.of Lot 6, Block
1 of Johnson's Corner Subdivision; thence westerly

along the north line of Nob Hill Boulevard. to
the west line of the East Half of the East Half
of the Northwest Quarter of Section 26, Town-
ship 13 North, Range 19 E.W.M.;.thence north -

easterly along Tieton Drive to the northeast
corner of the Northwest'' Quarter of the North-
west Quarter of the Northeast Quarter of said
Section 26; thence southerly along the east line
of said_ subdivision to the southeast corner of

East Half of the WeFt Half of the Northwest
Quarter of the Northeast Quarter of.Section 26,
Township 13 North, Range 1.8 E. W. M.; thence
southerly alongsa.id west line to the northwest
corner of Marabel Heights; thence easterly
along the north line of said subdivision to the
northeast corner of the same; thence southerly
along the east.line of said subdivision to the
southeast corner of the same; thence westerly a.
distance of 165 feet, more or less; thence south-
erly a, distance of 264 feet, more or less, to the
south line of the north 2 acres of the Southeast
Quarter of the Southwest Quarter of. the Northwest
Quarter =of the Northeast Quarter of Section 26,
Township 13 North, Range 18 E.W.M.;. thence wes-
terly along said south line to the right of way
of Natches and Cowychee Ditch Co.; thence south-
easterly along said. right of ,way to the southwest
corner of Lot 12 of Chase Hill Residence Tracts;
thence northerly along the west .line of Lots 1.2
and 9 of said subdivision a distance of 287 feet
to the north line of the south half of said Lot
9; thence easterly at eight angles to 20th Ave-
nue South; thence southerly along 20th Avenue South
to the north line of Johnson's Corner Subdivision;
thence easterly along said north line to the north-
east corner of Lot 11, Block 1 of said subdivision;
thence southerly to the noi.nt of beginning. Ex-
cepting from the above described district the
following:
The South 4 acres of the E' of the NW-41 of the SWg
of the NE4 of Sec. 26, Township 13 North, Range
18 E. W. M.;
said. improvement to be constructed in full accordance with the plans and specifica-
tions to be nrepa.red by the City Engineer and filed with the City Clerk.
All persons who may desire to object to said proposed'im-orove-
ment are hereby notified to appear and present such objection, if any, at a meeting
of the City Commission to be held at its office in the C'Ity Hall in the City of Yakima,
Yakima County, Washington, at the hour of ten o'clock A. M., on Monday, the 25th day
of September, 1939, which time and place are hereby fixed for the hearing on all mat-
ters relating to said proposed improvement or objections thereto, and for determining
the method of payment therefor; and the City Clerk is hereby directed to give due
notice of said hearing and of the intention to make the aforesaid. im- provement.
The cost and expense of said improvement shall be distributed
as follows: The labor shall be furnished by the Works Progress Administration, and
the balance of the cost and exr.ense in connection therewith shall be levied. 'and assess-
ed against the property included. in the district, as is legally and. properly assess.-
able therefor .as provided. by law and as above described; And the City Engineer is
hereby directed to submit to the City Commission D.t or prior to the date fixed herein
for said hearing, all of the data, and other information required by law to be by him
submitted.

RESOLUTION NO. C -427, A RESOLUTION authorizing the sa.le.of Lot 7, Block 157, New
Home Addition to North Yakima (now Yakima).
WHEREAS, the City of Yakima. is the owner of the following de-
scribed. real property situated in Yakima County, State of Washington, to -wit:
Lot 7, Block 157, New Home Addition to
North Yakima ( now Yakima) ,
according to the official plat thereof now on file and of record in the office of the
Auditor of Yakima. County, Washington, by reason of a deed therefor issued by the
Treasurer of Yakima County, Washington, to. said City of Yakima, on sale of said propert
for delinquent real estate taxes, and
WHEREAS, it appears to be for the best interest of said City of
Yakima. to sell said premises to CECIL W. TONNEMAKER and LOIS E. TONNEMAKER, husband
and wife,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMIiIISSION OF THE
CITY OF YAKIMA, WASHINGTON:
That said above described premises be and they are hereby author-
ized to be sold to CECIL W. TONNEMAKER and. LOTS E. TONNEMAKER, husband and 4vife, for
the total sum of One Hundred Fifty -five and No /100 ($155.00) Dollars, and the Mayor,
E. B..RILEY, is' hereby authorized to execute a. deed to said premises, and the City
Clerk, PEARL BENJAMIN, is hereby authorized and directed. to attest the same for and
on behalf of the said City of Yakima. '

157, New Home Addition to North Yakima (now Yakima).
WHEREAS, the City of Yakima is the owner of the following de-
scribed real property situated in Yakima County, State of Washington, to -wit:
Lots 4, 5 and 6, Block 157, New Home
Addition to North Yakima (now Yakima.),
according to the official plat thereof now an file and of record in the office of
the Auditor of Yakima. County, Washington, b.y reason of a. deed therefor issued by the
Treasurer of the City of Yakima., Yakima County, Washington, to said City of Yakima,
on sale of said property for delinquent local improvement assessments, and
WHEREAS, it appears to b e for the best interest of said City
of Yakima to sell said premises to MILLARD L. THOMAS, a single man,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOL',TED BY THE CITY COMR.2ISSION OF THE
