The City Commission met in reg:ula.r session, Mayor Riley and Commissioners Washburn
and Clark present on roll call.
Moved by Riley,, seconded by Washburn that the minutes of the regular meeting of Monday,
July 31st, 1939 be approved as read: carried, Riley, Washburn and Clark voting aye
on roll call.
Moved by Riley, seconded by Clark that thims being the time for receiving bids on 1_000
feet of 21 inch double jacket fire hose; it is ordered_ that 500 feet bp awarded to the
America.n.La France Foamite Company on Wind.ser brand @ $1.15 per foot and 500 feet of
Peerless G $1.20 per foot to the Eureka. Fire Hose Company: carried, Riley,. Washburn
and Clark voting aye on roll call.
Moved by Riley, seconded by Clark that this being the time for receiving bids on a.
one -half ton pick -up truck; it is ordered that the bid of the Weber Chevrolet Company
in the sum of $625.67 for a Chevrolet truck be accepted: carried, Riley, Washburn and
Clark voting aye on roll call.
Moved by. Wa.shburn, seconded by Clark that the City Clerk is hereby instructed to give
notice to bidders by publication for a one -half ton pick -up truck to be used by the
Water Dept; said bids to be received on Mond.a.y, August 21st, 1939 at ten o'clock A.M:
carried, Riley,Washburn end Clark voting aye on roll call.
Moved by Riley, seconded by Clark that vie do now adjourn: carried, Riley, Washburn
and Clark voting aye on roll call.
