Moved by Washburn, seconded by Riley that the regular meeting of Monday, July 24th, 1939 and adjourned meeting thereof be approved as read: carried, Riley, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll call. Moved by Clark, seconded by Washburn that the City Engineer having reported the com- pletion of constructing; the curb and gutter project in Modern Addition, Local Improve- ment District No. 544, said..'improvement is hereby accepted and the City Engineer is hereby instructed to preparea..n assessment roll for said district and the City Clerk directed to give notice of hearing on said roll for Monday, August 21st, 1939 at ten o' clock A. M; carried, Riley, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll call. Moved by Washburn,' seconded by Riley that the following payrolls be allowed and the City Clerk authorized to issue warrants as follows: Cemeter $1.65.Q0; Cemetery Care $426.00; Crusher $419.36; Sanitation $733.50; Street $1399.6+ and Parks $1,000.20: carried, Riley, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll call. The cost and. expense of said improvement shall be distributed as follows: the labor and a portion of the materials shall be furnie.hed by the Works Progress Administration, and the balance of the cost and expense, including engineer- ing, inspection, advertising, publication of notices and all other expenses incident thereto shall be levied and assessed_ against the broperty included in the district as is legally and. properly assessable therefor, as provided by law and as above described; and the City Engineer is hereby directed to submit to the Cit.v Commission at or prior to the date .fixed herein for said hearing, all of the data. and other information re- auired.bv 1p:w to be by him. submitted.
