Moved by Riley, seconded by Washburn that the minutes of the regular meeting of Monday, July 10th, 1939 and adjourned meeting thereof tie approved as read: carried, Riley, Washburn and. Clark voting aye on roll call. Moved by Riley, seconded by Washburn that the following payrolls be allowed. and the City Clerk authorized to issue warrants therefor: Water Dept. $744.73; Irrigation x$78.55; Revolving $309.49: carried, Riley, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll call. Moved by Riley, seconded by Washburn that the following claims be allowed and the City Clerk authorized to issue warra.tns on the following funds in payment thereof: Current Ex ense $4266.32; Park $722.14; City Street $3675.00; Revolving x$2012.22; Cemetery Ex Irrigation $778.87; Municipal Equipment x$1159.91; Crusher $1991.79; L.I.D. Guaranty 4571.00; Cemetery Trust x$5915.78; P. R. & P. $11.00 and Municipal Garage $300.81: carried, Riley, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll cell. Moved by Washburn, seconded by Riley that this being. the time for receiving bids for the purchase of a motorcycle for car marking purposes for the Police Department; it is ordered that the bids received be opened and read by the City Clerk and award.o.f contract, if any, be made at a later date: carried, Riley, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll call. RESOLUTION NO. C -419, WHEREAS, it is the desire of the City of Yakima thRt the director of.highways paint the traffic line and parallel parking line along the routes of PSH 3 do 5 within the corporate limits of the City of Yakima; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City of Yakima does hereby acknowledge that it will not satisfactorily accomplish and will delay and be unable to paint said traffic and parallel lines on such City streets and waives notice of the director of highways thereof; BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the director of highways is request- ed and permitted to paint said traffic and parallel lines to the amount of Two :Hundred ( $200.00) dollars, an amount not in excess of'' the amount of money now credited or reasonably antici-oated to accrue to the City of Yakima in the motor vehicle fund during the next fiscal year, such traffic and parallel line painting cost to be charged against the amount so credited., or to be credited; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that upon statement of the cost of such traffic and parallel line painting and journal voucher therefor, approved by the City of Yakima., for all labor, equipment, materials, supplies and engineering, the State Auditor is authorized and directedto reserve and credit to the department of highways in payment for such traffic and para.l_lal line painting any funds credited or to be credited to the City of Yakima in the motor vehicle fund not to exceed the above specified sum; all in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 187 Session Laws of 1937. Moved by Washburn, seconded by Clark that Ordinance No. B -394 be passed to Its second reading and read by title only: carried, Riley, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll call. Moved by Washburn, seconded by Clark that Ordinance No. B -394 be passed to its third reading and read in full: carried, Riley, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll call. Moved by Clark, seconded by Washburn that this being the time for the hearing on the plat filed by Irene Bline, which .plat was heretofor filed with the Planning Commission and it appearing that all necessary proceedings were had relative to the filing of said plat and. there being no objections, in writing or otherwise, to said plat or any part thereof; it is ordered that said plat be approved as filed: carried, :Riley, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll call. Moved by Riley, seconded by Washburn that we do now adjourn to meet Friday, July 21st, 1939 at 2 o'clock P. Moved by Riley, seconded by Clark that the bid of the Yakima Motorcycle Service Sales Company for a Harley-Davidson Motorcycle equipped with radio in the sum of $6 ,89.51 less towbar of $10.20 or a total of $679.31, to be used by the PoliceDepartment be accepted as the best bid submitted: carried, Riley, Washburn and.
