W. Clark, Commissioner of Streets and Public Improvements that on account of the absence of Mayor Riley and Commissioner Washburn,the passage of the ordinance vacating the above described property be postponed to Tuesday, May 16th, 1939 at 9 o'clock A. M: C i t y C 1 e r k. REGULAR MEETING, TUESDAY, MAY 16, 1939, 9 A. M. The City Commission met in regular session, Mayor Riley and Commissioner Clark present on roll call, Commissioner Washburn absent. 'Moved. by Riley, seconded by Clark that the following claims be allowed and the City Clerks authorized to issue warrants as follows: Current Expense $1,732.26; City Street $2,703.69; Water $3,517,57; Parks $291 .44; Irrigation $150.99; Revolving $5,938,65; Fixed Estimate $7107; Cemetery $659.14; L.I.D. Guaranty $200.00; Cemetery Trust $922.65; Bond Sinking $1 211,00; Crusher $1,201.79; Larson Library Trust $10.61 -; Mu- nicipal Equipment $202.64; Policemens' Relief & Pension $23.50; Municipal Garage $347. 40:' carried, Riley and Clark voting aye on roll call, Washburn absent. ORDINANCE NO, B -350, entitled, "AN ORDINANCE providing for the 'vacation of a portion of Pacific Avenue from the Alley West of Naches Avenue to the All East of South 6th Street ", _was introduced by Clark and rend by the City Clerk. Moved by,Riley, seconded by,Clark -that Ordinance No. B -350 be passed to its sedond reading and read by title only: carried, Riley. and Cla.rk'voting aye on roll call; Washburn absent. Moved by Clark, seconded by Riley that the City Engineer having reported the completion of the improvement in Local Improvement District No. 549, providing for the construc- tion of a cement sidewalk on both sides of South Fifth-Avenue from West Yakima Avenue to West Chestnut Street, said improvement is hereby accepted and the City Engineer authorized to prepare an assessment roll for said district and the City Clerk directed to give notice of hearing on said assessment roll for,'Monday, June filth, 1939 at ten o' clock ".A, M' carried, Riley and Clark voting aye on roll 'call, Washburn absent.
