The City Commission met in regular session, Mayor Riley and Commissioners Washburn
and. Clark present on roll call.
RESOLUTION NO. C -310, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA:
That it is its intention to improve both sides of Fifth Avenue.
South from West Yakima Avenue to West Chestnut Street, by the construction of Portland.
cement concrete sidewalks eight feet in width, and by doing all such other work as may
be necessary in connection therewith, all in accordance with the plans 'and specifica-
tion's to be prepared by the City Engineer and filed with the City Clerk.
The district to be served. by and assessed for the above described
improvement is described as follows, to -wit:
Lots 1, 2, 3, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, in Block 271, and
Lots 4, 5, 16, 7, &, 9 and 10, in Block 291, of
CAPITOL ADDITION and' KERI'S ADDITION to 'the City of
Yakima;
All persons who may desire to object to said proposed improvement
are hereby notified to appear and present such objections, if any, at a meeting of the
City Commission to be held at its office in the City Hall in the City of Yakima., Yakima
County, Washington, at the hour of ten o'clock A. M. on Monday, the 10th day of April,
1939, which time and place are hereby fixed for the hearing of-all matters relating to
said proposed improvement or objections thereto, and for determining the method of pay-
ment therefor; and the City Clerk is hereby directed to give due notice of said hear-
ing and of the intention to make the aforesaid improvement.
The costs and expenses in connection with the construction of
said improvement, including the engineering, Inspection, advertising,,-' publication of
notices, and all other expenses incident thereto, shall be levied and.assessed against
all of the property legally and. properly assessable therefor as provided by .law and
a.s above described; a.nd.the City Engineer is hereby directed. to submit to the City
Commission at or prior to the date fixed herein for said hearing, all of the d.a.ta and,
other information required by law to be by him submitted..
ADOPTED BY THE CITY COMMISSION, signed and approved this 20th
day of March, 1939.

of ordinances of the City of Yakima entitled ".AN ORDINANCE for the preservation of the
public peace, safety, morality and good order in the Czt,y of Yakima.; defining who are
disorderly persons and. vagrants; -providing penalties f6r. the violation thereof; re-
pealing ordinances numbered 9, 11, 13, 18, 25, 49, 86, 163, 172, 174, 182, 193, 213,
214, 215, 216, 219, 223, 227, 241, 271, 286, 295, 433, 498 521, 618, 634, 652, 720,
730, 841, X57, A -19, A -29, A -31, A -52, A -73, A -97 a.nd A- 1.31- and all other ordinances
and parts of ordinances in conflict herewith.and declaring an emergency ", and de-
claring an emergency," was introduced_ by Riley and read by the City Clerk.

reading and read by title only: carried, Riley, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll
call.

The City Commission met pursuant to adjournment, Mayor Riley and Commissioners Wash-
burn and Clark present on roll call.
RESOLUTION NO. C -391, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA,
WASHINGTON:
That it is its intention to construct a. pipe sewer with. the
necessary wye branches, manholes, flush tanks and water connectionstherefor to serve
the following described district:
Beginning at the intersection of Lenox
Avenue with Tenth Avenue South; thence
north along Tenth Avenue South to a
point 57.5 feet north of the southwest
corner of Lot 1.2, Yakima Acre Tracts;
thence easterly and parallel w ith the
south line of said Lot 12 to Ninth Ave-
nue South; thence south along Ninth
Avenue South to Lenox Avenue; thence
west along Lenox Avenue to beginning;

said improvement to be constructed in full accordance with the plans and specification's
to be prepared by the City Engineer and filed with the City-Clerk.
All persons who may desire to object to said 'proposed improvement
are hereby notified to appear and present such objection, if any, at a meeting of the

Yakima County, Washington, at the hour of ten o'clock A. M., on Monday, the 10th day

method of payment therefor; and the City Clerk is hereby directed to give notice of
said hearing and of the intention to make the aforesaid improvement.'
The cost and expense of said improvement shall be distributed
as follows: The labor shall be furnished by the Works Progress Administration, and the
balance thereof shall be borne by and assessed against all of the property legally and
properly asses-sable therefor as provided by law and as above described; and the City
Engineer is hereby directed to. submit to the City Commission at or prior to the date
fixed herein for said hearing, al.1 -of the data and other information required by law
to be by him submitted.

day of March, 1939. .
