Moved by Riley, seconded by Washburn that the minutes of the regular meeting of Mon- day, February 20th, 1939 and adjourned meeting thereof be approved as read: carried, Riley, Washburn and. Clark voting aye on roll call. Moved by Washburn, seconded by .Riley that the following payrolls be allowed and-'the City Clerk= authorized to issue wa.rf-ants as follows: Garbage Disposal $645.00; Cityy Street,$9.89.26; Cemetery $90.00; Crusher $114.19; Revolving $289.90; Irrigation. $A.00: carried, Riley, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll call. Moved by Clark, seconded by Riley that this being the time for the hearing on Resolu- tion No. C -376., providing; for curbs and, gutters and filling in the ditch of the R. S. & C. Irrigation Company on South 10th Avenue and other streets in said city, it is hereby ordered. that said hearing be continued to Thursday, March 2nd, 1939 at 10 o'clock A. M: carried, Riley, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll call. RESOLUTION NO. C -3861 A RESOLUTION authorizing the sale of Lot 13, Block 34, Tennant & Miles' New Modern Addition to North Yakima. (now Yakima). WHEREAS , the City of Yakima is the owner of the following de- scribed -real property situated in Yakima County, State of Washington, to -wit: Lot 13, Block 34, Tennant & Miles' New Modern Addition to North Yakima (now Yakima), according to the official plat thereof now on file and of record in the office of the Auditor of Yakima County, Washington, by reasonof a deed therefor issued by the Treas- urer Hof Yakima. County, State of Washington, to said City of Yakima,, on sale of said property for delinquent taxes, and WHEREAS, it appears to be for.th-e -,best interest of said City of Yakima to sell said premises to OSCAR BERGQUIST and CHRISTIAN BERGQUIST, husband and wife, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA, WASHINGTON: That said above described premises be and they are hereby author- ized to be sold to OSCAR BERGQUIST and CHRISTIAN BERGQUIST, husband and wife, for the total sum of Two Hundred and No /100 ($$200.00) Dollars, and the Mayor, E. B. Riley, is hereby authorized to execute a deed to said premises, and the City Clerk, Pearl Ben- jamin, is hereby authorized and directed to attest the same for and on behalf of the said City of Yakima. ADJOURNED MEETING, THURSDAY, 1V[ARCH 2, 1939, 10 A. M. The City Commission met pursuant to adjournment, Mayor Riley and. Commissioners Wash - burn and Clark present on roll call. Moved by Washburn, secondedby Riley that this being the time. for the hearing on the adjourned meeting of Resolution No, C -376 for constructing curbs and. gutters on South 10th Avenue and other streets in said city and for piping and filing the ditch of the R. S. & C. Irrigation Company along said street, and there being insufficient protest from the property owners in said_ district against said improvement; it is ordered that the ordinance creating a, local improvement district for said improvement be passed as finally read: carried, Riley, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll call. ORDINANCE NO. B -371, entitled, "AN ORDINANCE providing for the elimination of an open canal and cinfini.ng same in a. pipe line constructed under ground, and providing for the improvement of property in the City of Yakima., Washington, by the'construction of concrete curbs and gutters; establishing a, local improvement district, providing for the method of payment therefor, and creating a special fund ", was introduced by Clark and read by the City Clerk.
