Moved by Riley, seconded by Washburn that the minutes of the regular meeting of Tuesday, February 1.4th, 1939 and adjourned meeting thereof be approved as read: carried, Riley, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll call. Moved by Clark, seconded. by Washburn that this being the time for receiving bids for the city printing for the ensuing year, the following were received; The Republic Pub- lishing Company in the sum of 45 cents per inch, solid nonpareil type and the Yakima Indep-end.ent Publishing Company in the sum of 44 cents per inch, solid nonpareil.. type; It was moved to take said bids under advisement: carried, Riley, Washburn and. Clark voting aye on roll call. ORDINANCE. NO. B -369, entitled, "AN ORDINANCE providing for the annexation by the City of Yakima., Washington, of certain property contiguous to the present boundaries of said City ", was introduced by Clark and read by the City Clerk. Moved by Riley, seconded by Washburn that Ordinance No. B -369 be passed to its second reading and read by title only: carried, Riley, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll call. ORDINANCE NO. B -370, entitled, "AN ORDINANCE providing for the borrowing of money by the City of Yakima and issuing its negotiable, serial, interest- bearing, coupon bonds therefor, for the purpose of paying the cost and expense of purchasing street and fire equipment and for lighting and construction on the municipal airoort of said city; pre- scribing the form of bonds and creating a fund to redeem said bonds and interest ", was introduced by Washburn and read by the City Clerk. RESOLUTION NO. C -382, WHEREAS the City of Yakima is engaged in installing a lighting system for the Municipal Airport, and WHEREAS it is impreative that said lighting system be completed by the .installation of a revolving beacon at the earliest possible moment to facilitate the use and operation; of said Air-oort, and WHEREAS, beacons of the type approved by the Civil Aeronautics authority are of a uniform price, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that an emergency is hereby de- clared to exist and the Purchasing Agent of said city is a.uthorized.to place an. order for the immediate delivery of a thirty -six inch, two -way revolving beacon of an approv- ed type for immediate delivery and installation.
