Moved by Washburn, seconded by Clark that the City Engineer having reported the c omple- tion of the improvement in Local Improvement District.No. 516, by the Contractor; it is hereby ordered.that said improvement be accepted and the City Engineer authorized to prepare an assessment roll for said district and the City Clerk directed to give notice of hearing on said roll for Monday, December 20, 1937 at ten o'clock A. M: carried, Temple, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll call. Moved by Clark, seconded by Washburn that the City Engineer having reported the com- pletion of the construction of a sidewalk on North Naches Avenue in Local Improvement District No. 518 by the Contractor; said work is hereby accepted and the City Engineer authorized -to prepare an assessment roll for said district and the City Clerk directed to give notice by publication as required by law; said hearing to be held on Monday, December 20th, 1937 at ten o'clock A. M: carried, Temple, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll call. ' Moved by Temple, seconded by Washburn that this being the time for the hearing on Reso- lution No. 0-291, providing for a domestic water system in the Hamberg Tract, said hearing is hereby continued to Wednesday, December 1st, 1937 at ten o'clock A. M: car- ried, Temple, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll call. RESOLUTION NO. 0-2942 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE aTY OF YAKIMA, WASH - INGTON: That it is its intention to improve West Yakima Avenue from Grandview Avenue to Hillcrest Avenue, by grading and paving the same with a six inch one course concrete pavement, thirty feet in width, and by constructing the necessary curbs, siphons and drains, and by the acquisition by purchase or condemnation of addi- tional right of way "therefor, described as follows, to -wit: Commencing at a point on the south line of the south half of the north half of the southeast quarter of the northeast quarter of the south- east quarter of Section 22, Township 13 North, Range.18, E.W.M.; 20 feet west of the southeast corner of the same, thence west along said south line 260.5 feet;-thence north 30 feet; thence east 260.5 feet, thence south 30 feet to point of be- ginning and by doing all such other work in connection therewith as may be necessary. The district to be served by and assessed for the above described improvement is described as follows, to -wit: Beginning at the intersection of West Yakima Avenue and Grand -. view Avenue; thence southerly along Grandview Avenue to the south line of the plat of Extension of West Yakima Avenue Addition; thence west along the south line of said addition to the intersection with the east line of Lot 11 of Orchard Drive Addition; thence south to the southeast corner of said Lot 11; thence west along the south line of Lots 11 to 20, inclusive, of said addition to Hillcrest Avenue; thence north along Hillcrest Avenue to the-north line of Yakima Avenue-Addition;-thence east along the north line of Yakima. Avenue Addition and-sald line extended to Grandview Avenue; thence south to the point of beginning.. All persons who may desire to object to said proposed improvement are hereby notified. to appear and present such objections, if any, at a meeting of the City Commission to be held at its office in the City Hall 'in the City of'Yakima, Yakima County, Washington, at the hour of ten o'clock A. M., on Monday, the 20th day of Decem- ber; 1937, which time and place are heregy fixed for the hearing of all matters relat- ing to said proposed improvement or objections thereto and-for determining the method of payment therefor; and the City Clerk'is hereby directed to give due notice of said hearing and of the intention to make the aforesaid improvement. The costs and expenses in connection with the construction of said improvement, Including acquisition of right of way, engineering, inspection., advertising, publication of notices and all other expenses incident thereto, shall be levied and, assessed. against all of the property legally _and properly assessable there- for as provided by law and as above described. The above improvement shall be constructed in full accordance with the plans and specifications to be prepared by the City Engineer, and the City Engineer is hereby directed to submit to the City Commission at or prior to the date fixed herein for said hearing, all of the data and other information required by law to be by him submitted. B -257, entitled, "AN ORDINANCE fixing the time of delinquency of Install- ments of assessments levied for the payment of the cost of the improvement in Local Improvement District No. 515, and providing for the issuance of bonds with coupons Attached for the payment of the unpaid portion thereof ", was introduced by Clark: and read by the City Clerk. Moved by Temple, seconded by Washburn that Ordinance No. B -257 be passed to its second reading and read by title only: carried, Temple, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll call. Moved by Washburn, seconded by Clark that the City Engineer having reported the com- pletion of the improvement in Local Improvement District No. 519, by the contractor; it is ordered that said work be accepted and the City Engineer authorized to prepare an assessment roll and the City Clerk directed to give notice of hearing on said roll for Monday, December'27th, 1937 at ten o'clock A. M: carried, Temple, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll call. Moved by Temple, seconded by Washburn that this being the time for the continued hear- ing on Resolution No. 0-292 for the construction of a domestic water system in the Hamberg and Ridgeview Additions and there being insuff.cient protest to defeat said project; it was ordered that the ordinance creating a local improvement district be passed as finally read: carried, Temple, Washburn and Clark voting a.ye on roll call. B -258, entitled, t °AN ORDINANCE, providing for the improvement of property in the City of Yakima, Washington, by the c ompTetion of the necessary mains, fire hy- drants, valves and other appurtenances to supply various lots and tracts of land with water for domestic purposes; establishing a. local improvement district, providing for the method of payment therefor andcrea.ting a special fund ", was introduced by Washburn and read by the City Clerk.
