'Moved by Temple, seconded.by. Washburn that the minutes of the regular meeting of Mon -
day, October 25th, 1937 and adjourned meetings thereof be approved as read: carried,
Temple, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll call.
Moved by Washburn, seconded by Temple that the payrolls for the month of October, 1937
be allowed and-the City Clerk authorized to issue warrants as follows: Various -Dept.
$2,915-59;.-Engineering $ 98.90; Fire Dept..$5,3E1.56; Police Dept.'$3,757.93• Health
Debt. $927.55; Cemetery 127.57; Park $125.00; City Street $157.50; Library .570.30;
Irrigation 52.78: carried, Temple, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll call.
RESOLUTION NO. C -290, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA:
That it is its intention to improve all the lots,, blocks and
parcels of land included within--the real estate hereinafter described, by constructing
a: pipe-sewer with the necessary wye branches, manholes, flush tanks and water connec-
tions- therefor, and by doing all such other work as may be necessary in connection
therewith,- all in accordance with the plans and specifications to be prepared by the
City Engineer and filed with the City Clerk.
The district to be served by and assessed for the above describ-
ed improvement is described as follows, to -wit:
All that certain.property lying between Cherry
Avenue and Roosevelt Avenue and between 16th
Avenue North and the webt line of New Modern
Addition, otherwise known as Lawson's Addition
to Yakima, Washington.
_ All persons who may desire to object to said proposed improve-.
ment are. hereby notified to appear and present such objections, if any, at a meeting
of.the City Commission to be held at its office in the City Hall in the City of Yakima,
Yakima County, Washington, at the hour of ten o'clock A. M. on Monday, the 22nd day
of November, 1937, which time and place are hereby fixed for the hearing of all matters
relating to said proposed improvement or objections thereto, and for determining the
method of'payment therefor; and the City-Cierk is hereby directed to give due notice
of said hearing and of the intention to make the aforesaid improvement.,
The costs and expenses in connection with the construction of-
said.improvement; including the engineering, inspection, advertising, publication of
notices, and all other expenses incident thereto, shall be' levied and assessed against
all of the property legally and properly assessable therefor as provided by law and as
above described;.and the City Engineer is hereby directed to submit to the City
Commission at or prior to the date fixed herein for said hearing, all of the data and
other information required by law to be by him submitted.
ADOPTED BY THE CITY COMMISSION, signed and approved, this lst
day of November, 1937.

ORDINANCE NO.. B- 251.,.entitled'., "AN ORDINANCE amending Subsection D, Section 71, of
Ordinance No. B -131, entitled "AN ORDINANCE relating to and regulating traffic, travel,
and transportation and their incidents upon the streets and other ways open to the
public; prescribing the powers and duteis of officers and others in relation thereto;
defining offenses; providing penalties and repealing certain ordinances concerned with
or relating to the subject.matter of this ordinance, and declaring an emergency ",
passed and approved February 26,'1936; and-declaring an emergency ", was introduced by
Temple and read by the City Clerk.

reading.and read by.title only: carried, Temple,'Washburn and Clark voting-aye on
roll call.
Moved by Clark, seconded by. Washburn that Ordinance No. B -251 be passed to its third
