Moved by Temple, seconded by Clark that the regular meeting of Monday, September 27th, 1937 and adjourned meetings thereof be approved as read: carried, Temple, Washburn and Clark voting aye o;n roll call. Moved by Washburn, seconded by Cla.rk.that this being the time for the hearing on the assessment roll in Local Improvement District No. 514, and there being no objections in writing or otherwise to the confirmation of said assessment roll or any part there- of; it is ordered that the ordinance confirming said assessment roll and every hart thereof be passed as finally read: carried, Temple, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll call. Moved by Temple, seconded by Clark that the claim of Len V. Gaunt and Louise Gaunt, husband and wife for damages in the sum of $10,250.00 alleged to have been sustained by reason of their child falling into an irrigation ditch and drowning on the 1st day pf September, 1937 is hereby rejected: carried, Temple, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll call. ORDINANCE NO. B -241, entitled, "AN ORDINANCE confirming the assessment roll covering Local Improvement 'District No. 514, as created and established by Ordinance No. B -204 of the ordinances of the City of Yakima ", was introduced by Clark ald read by the City Clerk. Moved by Temple, seconded _by Washburn that Ordinance No. B -241 be passed to its second reading and read by title only: carried, Temple, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll call. Moved by Temple, seconded by Washburn that Ordinance No. B -241 be passed to its third reading and reed in full: carried, Temple, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll call. C -279, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF YAKIM.A: That it is its intention to improve the property on the west side of North Fourth Street from East 11F" Street to the northerly" city limits by the construction of a Portland cement concrete sidewalk five feet in width, and by dbing all such other work as may be necessary in connection therewith, all in accordance with the plans and specifications to be prepared by the City Engineer and filed with the City Clerk. The district to be served by and assessed for the above describ- ed improvement is described as follows, to -wit: Lots 1 to 8, inclusive, of Blocks 62, 63 and 64, City of Yakima, Yakima County, Washington. All persons who may desire to object to said proposed improve- ment are hereby notified -to appear a.nd'present such objections, if any, at a. meeting of the City Commission to be held'at its office in the City Hall in the City of Yakima, Yakima County, Washington, at the hour of ten o'clock A. M. on Monday, the 25th day of October, 1937, which time and 'place are hereby fixed for the hearing of all 'matters relating to said proposed improvement or objections thereto, and for determining the method of payment therefor; and the City Clerk is hereby directed to give due notice of said hearing and of the intention to make the aforesaid improvement. The cost and expense in connection with the construction of said improvement, including the engineering, inspection, advertising, publication of notices, and all other expenses incident thereto, shall be levied and assessed against all of the property legally and properly assessable therefor as provided by law and as above described; and the City Engineer is hereby directed to 'submit to the City Commission at or prior to the date fixed herein for said hearing, all of the data and other information required by law, to be by him submitted.. C -280, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA: That it is its intention to improve North Naches Avenue from East "H" Street to the northerly city limits,-by the construction of portland cement concrete sidewalks five feet in width along both sides thereof, and by doing all such other work as may be necessary in connection therewith, all in accordance withthe plans and specifications to be prepared by the City Engineer and filed_ with the City Clerk. The district to be served by and assessed for the above describ- ed improvement is described as follows, to -wit: Lots 1, 2, 3, 41 5, 6, Block 82, and Lots 13, 14, 15 and 16, Block 102, City of Yakima. All persons who may desire to object to said proposed improvement 1 387 are hereby notified to appear and present such objections, if any, at a meeting of the City Commission to be held at its office in the City Hall in the City of Yakima, Yakima County, Washington, at the hour of ten o'clock A. M. on Monday, the 25th day of Octo- ber, 1937, which time and place are hereby fixed for the hearing of all matters relat- ing to said proposed improvement or objections thereto, and for determining the method of payment therefor; and the City Clerk is hereby directed to give due notice of said hearing and of the intention to make the aforesaid improvement. C -281, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE aTY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA: That it is its intention to improve all the lots, blocks and parcels of land included within the rea.l,esta.te hereinafter described, by constructing a pipe sewer with the necessary wye branches, manholes, flush tanks and water connec- tions therefor, and by doing all such other work as may be necessary in connection therewith, all in accordance with the plans and specifications to be prepared by the City Engineer and filed with the City Clerk. The district to be served by and assessed for the above described improvement is described as follows, to -wit: Lots 1 to 8 inclusive, Block 128, City of Yakima, Yakima County, Washington. All persons who may desire to object to said proposed improvement are hereby notified to appear and present such objections, if any, at a meeting of the City Commission to be held at its office in the City Hall in the City of Yakima, Yakima County, Washington, at the hour of ten o'clock A.
