The City Commission met in regular session, Mayor Temple and Commissioners Washburn
and Clark present on roll call.
Moved by Temple, seconded by Clark that the minutes of the regular meeting of Monday,
August 9th, 1937 be.approved as read: carried, Temple, Washburn and Clark voting aye
on roll call.
Moved by Washburn, seconded by Temple that the following payrolls be allowed and the
City Clerk authorized to issue warrants as follows: Sanitation $648.00• Park $468.00;
Pools $221.95 Curb &; Gutters $152.50; Cemetery $168.00; Cemetery Care J;460.25; City
Street Dept. J1126.83; Water Dept. $1189.72; City Street Project No. 1 x;946.85; City
Street Project No. 2 X296.50; City Street Project No. 3 $41.12 and City Street Project
No. 4 $25.50: carried, Temple,-Washburn and Clark voting aye on.roll call.
ORDINANCE NO. B -224, entitled, "AN ORDINANCE creating a Planning Commission for the
City of Yakima: providing for the power's and duties of such Commission, repealing
Ordinance No. A -893, and declaring an emergency ", was introduced by Clark and.read by
.the City Clerk.

on roll call.

ORDINANCE NO. B -225, entitled,' "AN ORDINANCE amending Sections 1, 2, 45 6 and 15, and
repealing Section 16, of Ordinance No. A -301, passed and approved September 8, 1917,
and entitled: "AN ORDINANCE pertaining to the organization and regulation of the Fire
Department of the City of North Yakima; providing for the payment of the members there-
of; prescribing their tenure of office; defining their duties; repea.ling,Ordinances
No. 451 and 462 and all other ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict herewith ",
was introduced by 'Temple and read by the City Clerk.

257, passed and approved March 27, 1917, and entitled: "AN ORDINANCE creating a Ceme-
tery Trust Fund, a Cemetery Care Fund and a Cemetery Fund, and defining their uses
and purposes, declaring all lands in Tahoma Cemetery eligible to perpetual care or
annual care, withdrawing certain portions of said cemetery from general sale and re-
serving same for sale of purchasers buying with provision for the perpetual care there-
of by the city, repealing Ordinance No. 361, and declaring an emergency", was intro-
duced by Temple and read by the City Clerk.

for the control and maintenance of irrigation systems established under and pursuant
to the provisions of Chapter 111 of the Sesstion Laws of the State of Washington for
the year 1911, providing a method of levying assessments for the cost of water assess-
ments properly chargeable thereto and for the expense of maintenance and.control, creat-
ing a. lien against the property within the mimits of any such districts for delinquent
assessments, providing a method for the collection of such assessments, prohibiting
interference with the piping system of any such irrigation district and providing a
