The City Commission met in regula.r session, Mayor Temple and Commissioners Washburn
and Clark present on roll call.
Moved by Temple, seconded by Washburn that the minutes of the regular meeting of Monday,
April 5th, 1937 be approved as read: carried, Temple, Washburn and Clark voting aye
on roll call.
Moved by Washburn, seconded by Clark that the following payrolls be allowed and the
City Clerk authorized to issue warrants as follows: Sewage Disposal $329.00• Street
Dept. 1,364.00; Sanitation $491.25; Incinerator $132.00; Permanent Highway $26.00;
Cemetery $126.00; Cemetery Care 1126.00; Parks $170.63: carried, Temple, Washburn and
Clark voting aye on roll call.
Moved by Clark, seconded by Temple that the bid of Ross Lynch_, Inc., in the sum of
$773•.22 for a one T -16 -A lL ton G. M. C. Truck, including standard chassis and-cab,
36x6 ten ply tires, oil bath air clearer, etc. is hereby accepted: carried, Temple,
Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll call.
RESOLUTION NO. C -239, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF YAKIMA, WASHINGTON:
That-it is its intention to construct an irrigation.system to-
serve all the lots, blocks and parcels of land included within the real estate herein-
after described, said improvement to consist of acquiring the necessary water rights,
rights of way, and the completion of the necessary laterals, installing service connec-
tions and other appurtenances for the purpose of delivering water for irritation pur-
poses to each lot and tract of land within the proposed district.
That the district to be served by and assessed for the above
described improvement is described as follows, to =wit: .
Beginning at a point on West Washington Street
145 feet east of the east line of Eleventh
Avenue South; thence east along West Washington
Street to Tenth Avenue South; thence south along
Tenth Avenue South to Lenox Avenue; thence west
along Lenox Avenue to a point 145 feet east of
the east line-of Eleventh Avenue South; thence
north parallel with Eleventh Avenue South to
the point of beginning;
the above irrigation system to be constructed in full accordance with the plans and
specifications to be prepared by the City Engineer and filed with the City Clerk.'
All persons who may desire to object to said proposed improve-
ment are hereby notified to appear and present such objection, if any, at a meeting
of the City'-Commission to be held at its office in the City Hall in the City of Yakima,
Yakima County, Washington, at the hour of ten o'clock A. M., on Monday, the 3rd day of
May, 1937, which time and place are hereby fixed for the hearing of all matters re-
lating to said.proposed improvement or objections thereto, and for determining the me-
thod of-payment therefor; and the City Clerk is hereby directed to give due notice of
said hearing and of the intention to make the aforesaid improvement.
The cost and expense of said improvement shall be borne by and
assessed against all of the property legally and properly assessable therefor as pro-
vided by law and as above described; and the City Engineer is hereby directed to sub-
mit to the City Commission at or prior to the date fixed herein for said heaaing, all
of -the data and. other information required by law to be by him submitted.

RESOLUTION NO. C- 240, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF YAKIMA, WASHINGTON: ,
That it is its intention to construct an irrigation system to
serve all the lots, blocks and parcels of land included within the real estate here-
inafter described, said improvement to consist of acquiring the necessary water rights,

connections and other appurtenances for the purpose of delivering water for irrigation
purposes to each lot and tract of land within the proposed district.

North with Summitview Avenue; thence west along
Summitview Avenue to 30th Avenue North; thence
south along 30th Avenue North to Barge Street;
thence west along Barge Street to Grandview Avenue;
thence south along Grandview Avenue to West Chest-
nut Street; thence east along West Chestnut Street
to 28th Avenue South; thence north along 28th
Avenue South and 28th Avenue North to the _point
of beginning;
the above irrigation system to be constructed in full accordance with the plans and
specifications to be prepared by the City Engineer and filed with the City Clerk.

HESOLUTION NO. C -241, A RESOLUTION authorizing; the Mayor and City Clerk to execute and
deliver to Carrie Grosenbaugh a quit claim deed conveying to her the premises herein-
after fully described.
WHEREAS, the City of Yakima had heretofore constructed Summit -
view Avenue over a portion of Lot 56 of Ker's Villa Lots and said portion of said lot
was thereafter sold_ by the Treasurer of Yakima County, Washington, to Yakima County
under a. a decree of tax foreclosure and said Yakima. County thereafter sold and con-
veyed the same to Carrie Grosenbaugh, and
WHEREAS, said Carrie Grosenbaugh has offered to convey said
portion of said lot to the City ,of Yakii_a in consideration of, the execution and deliv-
ery to her by the City of Yakima of a quit claim deed to her conveying the remainder
of the South 140 feet of said Lot 56. `
y NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF YAKIMA, WASHINGTON, that the Mayor and City Clerk be, and they hereby are
authorized and directed to execute and deliver to said Carrie Grosenbaugh a quit caaim
deed conveYi.ng to her the following described real property situate'in Yakima. County,
Washington to -wit:
The South 140 feet of Lot 56 of Ker's Villa Lots, according to
the plat thereof now on file and of record in the office of the County Auditor of Yaki-
ma County, Washington, save and except therefrom a tract described as follows:
Beginning at the southeast corner of said Lot 56 of Ker's Villa
Lots, thence westerly aeong the south line of said Lot to the southwest corner thereof;
thence north 9.68 feet; thence northeasterly to a. point on the eastline of said Lot,
said point being 30.27 feet north of the point of beginning; thence south 30.27 feet
to the point of beginning.

ORDINANCE INFO. B -185, entitled, "AN ORDINANCE amending Sections 1 and 3 of Ordinance
No. B -149 passed and approved July 13,,1936, and entitled: "AN ORDINANCE providing
for the improvement of certain alleys in the City of Yakima, Washington, by grading
and paving the same; authorizing condemnation of real estate over which a part of said
alleys run; establishing a. local improvement district; providing the method of making
payment therefor and creating a special fund ", and declaring an emergency ", was intro-
duced by Temple and read by the City Clerk.

passed to its second reading and read by title only: carried, Temple, Washburn and
Clark voting aye on roll call.
