Moved by Temple, seconded by Washburn that the minutes,of the regular meeting of Tues- day, October 13, 1936 be approved as read: carried, Temple, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll call. Moved by Clark, seconded by Washburn that this being the time for receiving bids for constructing a water system in Local Improvement District No. 511, the following were received: A. S. Wilson in the sum of $1,636..75 and J. M. DeBlasio in the sum of $1,575.65; the bid of J. M. DeBlasio being the lowest and best.bid, said contract was awarded to him and the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to enter into a contract therefor on behalf of the City of Yakima: carried, Temple, Washburn and. Clark voting aye on roll call. Moved by Washburn, seconded by Clark that the bond of J. M. DeBlasio in the sum of $1,575.65 for constructing a water system in Local Improvement District No. 511 is hereby approved and placed on file with the City Clerk: carried, Temple, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll call. RESOLUTION NO. C -213, A RESOLUTION authorizing the sale of Lot 16, Block 157, "The Home Addition to North Yakima" (nor Yakima). WHEREAS, the City of Yakima., is the owner of the following de- scribed real property situated in Yakima County, State of Washington, to -wit: Lot 16, Block 157, "The Home Addition to North Yakima ", (now Yakima), according to the official plat thereof now on file and of record in the office of the Auditor of Yakima County, Washington, WHEREAS, it appears to be for the best interest of said City of Yakima to sell. said premises to CHARLES KRUM, an unmarried man, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA, WASHINGTON: That said above described premises be and they are hereby author - ized to be sold to CHARLES KRUM, an unmarried man, for the total sum of One Hundred Twenty -three and 24/100 Dollars (123.24), and the Mayor, H. C. Temple, is hereby author- ized to execute a deed to said premises, and the City C1erk,Pearl Benjamin, is :hereby authorized and directed to attest the same for and on behalf of the said City of Yakima. B -162, entitled, "AN ORDINANCE setting aside and designating certain taxicab stands in the City of Yakima, pursuant to Ordinance No. B -131 as amended by Ordinance No. B -143, repealing ordinance No.,B -143, and declaring an emergency ", was introduced by Temple and. read by the City Clerk. Moved by Washburn, seconded by Clark that Ordinance No. B -162 be passed to its second reading and read by title only: carried, Temple, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll call. Moved by Washburn, seconded by Clark that Ordinance No. B -162 be passed to its third reading and read in,full: carried, Temple, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll call. Moved by Washburn, seconded by Clark that Ordinance No. B -162 be passed as finally read: carried, Temple, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll call. ADJOURNED MEETING, TUESDAY', OCTOBER 21, 19362 9 A. M. The City Commission met pursuant to adjournment, Mayor Temple and Commissioners Wash - burn and Clark present on roll call. Moved by Clark that Ordinance No. B -163 be laid on the table and not passed until after the General Election which will be held on November 3rd, 1936; there being; no second to this motion the same did not become effective. ORDINANCE NO. B -163, entitled, "AN ORDINANCE providing for the-acquisition of an electric light and power distribution system for the City of Yakima, including.an office building and sub- stations; specifying and adopting a plan therefor; declaring the estimated cost thereof, as near as may be; providing for the financing of such acquisition by the issuance of special revenue bonds, and providing for the submission of this ordinance to the qualified electors of the City of Yakima for ratification or rejection at a special election to be held December 5, 1936, and declaring an emergency" was introduced by- Temple and read by the City Clerk. C -214, WHEREAS, by Ordinance No. B -163, passed and approved October 21, 1936, it was provided that"a special election be called on December 5, 1936, for the submission of the proposition in such ordinance contained to the qualified electors -of the City of Yakima; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA: That the City Clerk be, and she is hereby empowered, authorized and directed to forthwith certify the proposition in said ordinance contained to the County Election Board ADOPTED BY THE CITY COMMISSION, signed and approved, this.21st day of October, 1936.
