Moved by Washburn, seconded by Clark that this being the time for receiving bids for
constructing an irrigation system in Local Improvement District No. 510, the following
were received: A. S. Wilson in the sum of $1,865.05; J. M. DeBlasio $2,016.75; The
bid of A. S. Wilson being the lowest and best bid said contract was awarded to him and
the Mayor and City Clerk authorized to enter into a contract for doing said work upon
the filing of a bond in the sum of $2,016.75 as provided by law: carried, Temple, Wash-

RESOLUTION NO. C -206, A RESOLUTION authorizing the sale of Lot 39, Chareve Park, accord-
ing to the official plat thereof now on file and of record in the office of the Auditor
of Yakima County, Washington,
WHEREAS, the City of Yakima is the owner of the following describe
real property situated in Yakima, Yakima County, Washington, to- wit:
Lot 39, Chareve Park,
according'to the official plat thereof now on file and of record in the office of'the
Auditor of Yakima County, Washington, by reason of a deed therefor issued by the Treas-
urer of the City of Yakima, County of Yakima, State of Washington, to said City of
Yakima, on sale of said property for delinquent assessments, and

ORDINANCE NO. B -155, entitled, 'SAN ORDINANCE fixing the time of delinquency of install-
ments of assessments levied for the payment of the cost of the improvement in Local
Improvement District No. 505, and providing for the issuance of bonds with coupons at-
tached for the payment of the unpaid portion thereof," was introduced by Temple and read
by the City Clerk.

-reading and read by title only: carried, Temple, Washburn and Clark voting aye on
roll call.
That said above described premises be and they are hereby author-
ized to be sold to Albert C. Wilson a d Lettie 0. Wilson, husband and wife, for the
total sum of Ten Hundreds Fifty and 46/100 ($1050.46) Dollars., payable as follows: the
sum of Three Hundred Forty -six and 46/100 ($346.46) Dollars in cash upon the execution
of the contract herein authorized -and the balance of Seven Hundred Four and No /100
(704.00) Dollars in monthly payments of Nineteen and 55/100 ($19.55) Dollars, beginning
October 3, 1936, and continuing until the entire amount has been paid. All deferred
payments to bear interest at the rate of six per cent per annum payable monthly with
principal payments.
The purchaser under said contract shall also agree to pay all
assessments against said premises falling; due under any Local Improvement District or
Districts hereafter created or arising from levies hereafter placed against said prem-
ises, and the Mayor and City Clerk of said. City are hereby authorized and directed to
enter into a contract in duplicate with said purchaser under the terms hereinabove set
forth.
Said agreement to be entered into shall also contain suitable
provisions requiring any buildings upon said premises to be insured at the expense of
the second parties in a_ solvent insurance company satisfactory to first party as its
interest may appear and shall contain a provision that in case of destruction of or
damage to any buildings or improvements on said premises such damage or loss shall be
the loss of second parties and shall not be a ground for rescission of said contract;
and -said contract shall also contain a suitable provision providing for forfeiture there
of upon failure of second party to make any payment of principal, interest,'taxes or
assessments therein provided.for when same shall become due or delinquent, notice of
such forfeiture to be for 30 days and service thereof to be by serving same personally
upon second parties or by mailing to them at Yakima, Washington, and a further provision
shall be placed therein that upon final payment of said principal and interest and taxe
and-assessments the first party shall convey said premises to second parties by a good
and - sufficient Quit Claim Deed conveying all the interest said City of Yakima has now
in said premises; and the further provision shall be contained in said contract against
the assignment of second parties without the consent of first party had and obtained.

An Ordinance providing for the.acquisition of an electric light and
power distribution system for the City of Yakima, including an office building and sub-
stations; specifying and adopting a plan therefor; declaring the estimated cost thereof,
as near as may be; providing for the financing of such acquisition by issuance of special
revenue bonds and providing for the submission of this ordinance to the qualified elec-
tors of the City of Yakima for ratification or -rejection at the General election to be
held November 3, 1936, was introduced by Mayor Temple: On motion (f Washburn, seconded

RESOLUTION NO. C -207, WHEREAS, there has been submitted to the City Commission of the
City of Yakima, a budget covering the detailed estimate of all expenditures proposed
to be made by the City of Yakima for the ensuing fiscal year and a statement of the
probable revenue from sources other than taxation for the ensuing fiscal year, in the
manner and form prescribed by law; and
WHEREAS, the same has been considered by the -City Commission in de-
tail and such revisions and additions made as has been deemed advisable;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE I`P RESOLVED BY THE CITY COPJEgISSION OF THE CITY OF
YAKIMA:
That the - aforesaid budget be and the same is hereby adopted and ap-
proved as the budget for the City of Yakima for the ensuing fiscal year and the City
Clerk is hereby directed to give notice that said budget has been completed a,nd placed
on file, and a copy thereof will be furnished any taxpayer who will call at the office
of the City Clerk therefor, and that the City Commission oaf the City of Yakima will meet
on the first Monday in October, 1936, at the offices of the City Commission in said City
at the hour of 9 o'clock A. M. for the purpose of fixing the final budget and making the
tax levies and notifying any taxpayer that he may appear at said meeting and be heard
for or' against any part of said budget, and said notice shall be published once each
week for two consecutive weeks immediately following the adoption of said preliminary
budget.

sum of $886.00 i8h.ereby`Approved and the City Clerk authorized to issue warrants there-
for: carried, Temple, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll call.
Moved by Washburn, seconded by Clark that the City Clerk is hereby authorized to issue
a warrant in the sum of $5,465.98,on the Bond Sinking Fund for the purchase of $5,000.00
Snohomish Water Revenue Bonds, bearing 4% interest; Mayor Temple voted no on said pur-
chase for the reason he expressed the thought that the greatest care should be employeed
in investing city funds. He stated he knew nothing of the financial condition of Sno-
homish County Water Bonds. Washburn and Clark voted aye on roll call.

tion of the construction of the sewer in Local Improvement District No. 506 in the sum
of $7,518.87, said improvement is hereby accepted and the City Engineer authorized to
prepare an assessment roll for said district and the City Clerk instructed to give notice
of.hearing on said roll by publication for Monday, September 28, 1936 at 10 o'clock A.M:

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF YAKIMA, WASHINGTON:
That said above described premises be and they are hereby author-
ized to be sold to Clifford H. Larson and Marian E. Larson, husband and wife, for the
total sum of Five Hundred and No /100 (500,.00) Dollars, payable as follows: the sum
of Five Hundred and No /100 ($500.00) Dollars in cash upon the execution of the contract
herein authorized and the balance of .Dollars in monthly payments of
Dollars, beginning and continuing until the entire
amount has been paid. All deferred payments to bear interest at the rate of
per cent .per annum payable monthly with principal payments.
The purchaser under said contract shall also agree to pay all
assessments against said premises falling due under any Local Improvement District or
Districts hereafter created or arising from levies hereafter placed against said prem-
ises, and the Mayor and City Clerk of said-City are hereby authorized and directed to
enter into a contract in duplicate with said purchaser under the terms hereinabove set
forth.
Said agreement to be entered into shall also contain suitable
provisions requiring any buildings upon said premises to be insured at the expense of
the second parties in a solvent insurance company satisfactory to first party as its
interest may appear and shall contain a provision that in case of destruction of or
damage to. any buildings or improvements on said premises such damage or loss shall be
the loss of second parties and shall not be a ground for rescission of said contract;
and said contract shall also contain a suitable provision providing for forfeiture
thereof upon failure of second party to make any payment of principal, 'interest, taxes
or assessments therein provided for when same shall become due or delinquent, notice
of such forfeiture to be for 30 days and service thereof to be by serving same person-
ally upon second parties or ny mailing to them at Yakima, Washington, and a further
provision shall be placed therein that upon final payment of said principal and inter-
est and taxes and assessments the first party shall convey said premises to second
parties by a good and sufficient Quit Claim Deed conveying all the interest said-City
of Yakima has now in said premises; and the further provision shall be.contained in
said contract against the assignment of second parties without the consent of first
party had and obtained."
