The City Commission met in regular session, Mayor Temple and Commissioners Washburn
and Clark present on roll.call.
Moved by Temple, seconded by Clark that the minutes of the regular meeting of Monday,
May 11th, 1936 be approved as read: carried, Temple, Washburn and Clark voting aye on
roll call.
Moved by Washburn, seconded by Clark that the following claims in the sum of $12,357.25
be allowed and the City Clerk authorized to issue warrants on the following funds:
Current Expense x$4,075.56; Delinquent Property Sales $854.58• L.I.D. Revolving $$853.40;
Cemetery $337.00; Municipal .$637.58; Fixed Estimate $$21.35 irrigation $1,159.17; P. R.
& P. Fund 21.10; Garage $260.71• Incinerator $4,137.00; Water Dept. $7,032.23;-Parks
$342.40 and Secondary Highway 8$.84 carried., Temple, Washburn and Clark voting aye
on roll call.
RESOLUTION NO. C -188, WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Yakima heretofore
by Resolution No. (7 -161 resolved that it was its intention to improve the alley in
Block 4 of Inglewood Addition and said alley extended northerly from Bonnie Doon Avenue
to a point 457 feet north of the same, by gradind and paving the same with concrete
pavement 20 feet in width; and
WHEREAS, heretofore, by Ordinance No. B -119, said City Commission
provided for such :improvement; and
WHEREAS, it appears that certain protions of said alley are pri-
vately owned, and the owners thereof refuse to convey such alley to the City of Yakima,
and that in order Ito acquire the same it will be necessary to purchase said property
or condemn the same if necessary; NOE, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA.:
Section 1. That it is tis intention to improve the alley in
Block 4 of Inglewood Addition and said alley extended northerly from Bonnie Doon Avenue
to a point 457 feet north of the same, by acquiring such portions of said. alleyas may
not be owned by the City of Yakima by purchase, condemnation or otherwise, by grading
and paving the same with a one course Portland cement concrete pavement 20 feet in width
and by doing all such other work as may be necessary in connection therewith, all in
accordance with the plans and specifications therefor, to be prepared by the City En-
gineer and filed with the City Clerk.
Section 2. The district tole served by and assessed for the
above described improvement is the territory directly contiguous to said alley Improve-
- ment.

Section 3. All persons who may desire to object to said proposed
improvement are hereby notified to appear and present such objection, if any, at a
meeting of the City Commission to be held at its office in the City Hall in the City
of Yakima, Yakima County, Washington, at the hour of ten o'clock A. M., on Monday, the
8th day of June, 1936, which time and place are hereby fixed for the hearing of all
matters relating to said proposed improvement or objections thereto and for determining
the method of payment therefor: and the City Clerk is hereby directed to give due
notice of said hearing and of the intention to make the aforesaid improvement.
Section 4. The cost and expense of said improvement shall be
borne by and assessed against all of the property legally and properly assessable
therefor as provided by law and as above described; and the City Engineer is hereby
directed to submit to the City Commission at or prior to the date fixed herein for.said
hearing, all of the data and other information required by law to be by him submitted.
ADOPTED BY THE CITY COMMISSION this 18th day of May;:. 1936.

ORDINANCE NO. B -139, entitled, "AN ORDINANCE relating to the business of photography,
providing for a license for all persons engaged in such business, repealing Ordinance
No. B -618 and providing penalties ", was introduced by Temple and read by the City Clerk.
Moved by Washburn, seconded by Clark that Ordinance No. B -139 be passed to its ;second
reading and read by title only: carried, Temple, Washburn and Clark voting aye on
roll call.
Moved by Washburn, seconded by Clark that Ordinance No. B -139 be passed to its third
reading and read in full: carried, Temple, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll call..

ORDINANCE NO. B -140, entitled, "AN ORDINANCE amending Section 1 of Ordinance No. A -236

of the Ordinances of the City of Yakima, by adding a sub - section thereto, and declar-
ing an emergency ", was introduced by Temple and read by..the City Clerk.
Moved by.Clark, seconded by Washburn that.Ordinance No. B -140 be
passed to tis second reading and read by title only: carried, temple, Washburn and
Clark voting aye on roll call.
Moved by Clark, seconded by Mashburn that Ordinance No. B- 140.be passed to its 'third
reading and read in full: carried, Temple, Washburnand Clark voting aye on roll call.
