Moved by Clark, seconded by Washburn that the improvement of widening Division Street and paving other streets in the City of Yakima, heretofore provided for by Resolution No. 0-171, is hereby abandoned: carried, Temple, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll call. Moved by Temple,. seconded by Washburn that the petition heretofore filed by School District No. 7, for the vacation of that portion of South Fifth Avenue be held in abet'" ance pending the procuring of sufficient signatures of property owners abutting upon said property as provided by law: carried, Temple,. Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll call. Moved by Temple, seconded by Clark that the petition of W. F. F. Selleck for permission to erect a residence -on the North 2/3 of Lot 1, Block 3, First Nob Hill Addition was considered -and the Building Inspector authorizied to prepare an amendment to the present Building Code to allow certain changes to be made, including the one above petitioned for: carried, Temple, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll call. Moved by Temple, seconded by Washburn that the petition heretofore filed by Electricians in the City of Yakima asking for a reduction of the a -nnual license fee in the sum of $50.00 to $25.00 per year, was denied and the City Clerk instructed to notify said electricians that no change could be made this year: carried, Temple, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll call: Moved by Mashburn, seconded by Temple that the following claims numbered from 33107 to 33129 inc., in the sum of $3,999.30 and the City Clerk-authorized to issue warrants on the following funds: Current Expense $919.75; L.I.D. Guaranty $1,500.00; L.I.D. Re- Volving $619.00; Municipal $775.00; Irrigation $20.00; Secondary Highway, Claim No. 16 $.3.50:- carried, Temple, Washburn and Clark voting aye .on roll call. ORDINANCE NO. B -130, entitled, "AN ORDINANCE declaring that an emergency exists requiring the expenditure of money not provided for in the budget of the City of Yakima, fixing the estimated amount of money required to meet such emergency, authorizing the '.issuance of warrants therefor, and - declaring an emergency ", was introduced by Washburn and read by.the City Clerk. Moved by Temple, seconded by Clark that Ordinance No. B -130 be passed to its second reading and read by title only: carried, Temple, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll call. B -131, entitled "AN ORDINANCE relating to and regulating traffic, travel and transportation-and their incidents upon the streets and other ways open to-the public; prescribing the powers and duties of officers and others in relation thereto; defining offenses; providing penalties and repealing certain ordinances concerned with or relating.to the subject matter of this ordinance, and declaring an emergency," was introduced by Clark and read by the City Clerk. Moved by-Temple, seconded by Washburn that Ordinance No. B -131 be passed to its second - reading and read by title only: carried, Temple, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll call. C -176, WHEREAS, the improvement of First Street as a U. S. Works Program Highway Project, - designated as WPMH 105 -D, to be constructed by the State of Washington Department of Highways for the City of Yakima, is estimated to cost $2G, P60.00, while there are only $20,000.00 of Federal Funds available for this purpose; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA, that $6,280.00 of cooperative city funds or as much thereof as may be re- quired be set aside to be used in conjunction with the Works Program Highway Funds for the construction of this improvement. BE IT,FURTHER RESOLVED that the City of Yakima enter into an agreement with th:e Director of.Highways and the Federal Bureau of Public Roads to main - tain this structure after completion. `�'I .2 � -J - 224 February. 24, 1936 Adopted by the -Cit.y Commission this 26th day of February, 1936.
