The City Commission met in regular session, Maydr Temple and Commissioners Washburn and
Clark present on roll call.
Moved by Temple, seconded by Clark that the minutes of the regular meeting of Monday,
February 3, 1936 and adjourned meeting thereof be approved as read: carried, Temple -,
Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll call.
Moved by Clerk, seconded by Temple that this being the time for receiving bids for pipe,
.fittings, valves, etc for ,the water. department, the following bids as tabulated by the
City Engineer.were received, and the recommendation of N. A. Gilman, Water Superintendent
as to awards was accepted as follows:

RECOMMENDATIONS
My recommendations as to award of contract are as follows: That Item # 1,
eighteeii,(18) inch cast iron pipe, be awarded on condition that shipment from factor
shall be made immediately, as this item is required to replace existing eighteen (18�
inch wood pipe in irrigation main under Northern Pacific yard tracks, on "F" Street,
produced; that the remaining iterns #2 to #18, inclusive, be awarded subject to the ap-
procal of the City's application for a project involving the extension of distribution
mains to the site of the City's'sewage disposal plant, which application is now being
considered by the Federal Works Progress Administration and petitions for six thousand
(6000) lineal feet of six (6) inch cast-iron pine to be furnished by the Works Progress
Administration; that materials will be delivered f rom'time to time as work progresses
and as the labor furnished by the Works Progress Administration permits; that in case
six thousand (6000) lineal feet of cast iron pipe is furnished by the Works Progress
Administration, the six thousand - (6000) lineal feet.of cast iron.pipe listed as 'Item
#31' will not be required; that contracts be awarded as follows:

Division and other a treets in the City of Yakima be continued to Monday, February 17th,
1936 at ten o'clock A.M: carried, Temple, Washburn and Clark 'voting aye on roll call.
Moved by Temple, seconded by Clark that we do now adjourn: carried, Temple, Washburn
and Clark voting aye on roll call.
