The City Commission met in regular session, Commissioners Washburn and Clark present
on,roll call, Mayor Temple absent.
Moved by Washburn, seconded by Clark that the minutes_ of the regular meeting of Monday,
January 27th, 1936 and adjourned meetings thereof be approved as read: carried, Wash -
burn,_and Clark voting aye.on roll call,. Temple absent.
Moved by Clark, seconded by-Washburn that this being the time for the hearing on Reso-
lution No. C -171 for widening Division Street and paving other streets-in the City of
Yakima, and a large majority of property owners being present to object to said improve -
ment orally and by petition; it is ordered that said hearing be continued to Monday,
February 10th, 1936 at 10 o'clock A. M: carried, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll
call, .Temple absent.
Moved by Clark, seconded by Washburn that this being the time for -receiving bids for
materials for the Sewage Disposal Plant, the following bids were. received:
Yakima Cement Products Co.
Union Concrete Pipe Co.
$624.75
618.15
The contract was awarded to, the Union Concrete Pipe Co. for $$619.15.
Bids on sand and gravel as follows:
Sand & Gravel Supply Co. $2,455.00
Swartz Sand & Gravel Co. 12937.50
Commercial Sand & Gravel.Co. 1,935.00
The bid of the Commercial Sand & Gravel Co. was accepted in the sum
of $1,935.00;
In accordance with the recommendation of the City Engineer, the bids
on sand were rejected: carried, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll call, Temple
absent.
RESOLUTION NO. 0-175, WHEREAS, by ordinance it is provided that on the first Monday in
February of each year, the City Commission of the City of Yakima, Washington, shall pass
a resolution prescribing the form of contract for the city advertising for the ensuing
year;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by -the City of Yakima, that the
form of contract for the city advertising for the ensuing year shall be in substantially
the form hereto attached and made.a part hereof, and the City Clerk is hereby directed
to give notice for sealed proposals for a contract for doing the city_ advertising for
the ensuing year by publishing the same in the newspaper doing the city advertising;
for two.suecessive issues, which notice shall contain a general statement of the terms
of the contract to be let, together with the time and place when said bids will be opened
and providing that any and all bids may be rejected.
ADOPTED BY THE CITY COMMISSION, SIGNED AND APPROVED this 3rd day
of February, 1936.

ADJOURNED MEETING, THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 6, 1936, 10 A. M.
The City Commission met pursuant to adjournment, Commissioners Washburn and 'Clark
present on roll call, Mayor Temple absent.
Moved by Washburn, seconded by Clark that this being the time for the adjourned hearing
on the confirmation of the assessment roll in Local Improvement District No.:502; it is
ordered that said meeting be again adjourned to Monday, February 10th, 1936 at 10 o'clock
A. M: carried, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll call, Temple absent.
