Moved by Clark, seconded by Washburn that the minutes of the regular meeting of Monday, January 20th, 1936 and adjourned meeting thereof be approved as read: carried, Washburn and-..Clark voting aye on roll call,- Temple absent. Moved by Clark, seconded by Washburn that the City Clerk is hereby authorized to give notice to contractors by publication as required by law, for bids for _furnishi-ng materi- als consisting of piep, fittings, valves, hydrants and other appurtenances to be used "in the improvement of the municipal water system; said bids to be'-received on Monday, February 10th, 1936 at 10 o'clock A. M: carried, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll +w. call, Temple absent. Moved by Washburn, seconded by Clark that the hearing on the assessment roll in Local Improvement District No. 502, be postponed to a later date on account of.-the petition filed protesting the amount of assessments by certain property owners: carried; Wash - burn -and Clark voting aye on roll call, Temple absent. Moved by Washburn, seconded by Clark that we do now adjourn to meet Tuesday, January 28th, -1936 at 9.o1clock A. M: carried, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll call, Temple absent. ADJOURNED MEETING, TUESDAY, JANUARY 28, 1936, 9 A. M. The City Commission met - pursuant to adjournment, Commissioners Washburn and Clark pres- ent on roll call, Temple absent. RESOLUTION NO. 0- 174,'WHEREAS, the improvement of First Street in Yakima as a U. S. Works Program Highway Project, designated as WPMH 105 -D, to be constructed by the -State of Washington Department of Highways for the City of Yakima, is estimated to cost $25,100.00 while there are only $20,000.00 of Federal Funds available for this purpose,. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA, that 05,100.00 of cooperative City Funds or as much thereof as may be re- quired be set aside to be used in conjunction with the Works Program Highway Funds for the construction of this improvement. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City of Yakima enter into an agreement with the Director of Highways and the Federal Bureau of Public Roads to main- tain this structure after completion.
