The City Commission met in regular session, Mayor Temple and Commissioners Washburn
and -Clark present on -roll call.
Moved by Temple, seconded by Washburn that the minutes of the regular meeting of Monday,
January 6, 1936 and adjourned meetings thereof be approved as read: carried, Temple,
Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll call.
-Moved by Washburn, seconded by Temple that this being the time for the hearing on the .
assessment roll in Local Improvement District No.-502, and said district being represent-
ed by a few of the property owners of the city; and it being the disire of said - property
owners to continue said hearing; it ,is ordered that said hearing be adjourned to Monday,
January 20, 1936 at nine o'clock A. M: carried, Temple, Washburn and Clark voting aye
on roll call.
Moved.by Clark, seconded by Temple that we do now adjourn to meet at two o'clock P. M.
for receiving bids on the Sewage Disposal Plant: carried, Temple, Washburn and Clark
voting aye on roll call.

The City Commission met pursuant to adjournment, Mayor Temple and Commissioners Washburn

Moved by Temple, seconded by Washburn that this being the time and place for receiving
bids for the construction of a sewage disposal plant and said bids having been opened
and read by the City Clerk; it is ordered that said bids be tabulated by the City Engin-
eer's office and that said Engineer is hereby authorized to compile a report.of said bids
and the date for awarding same: carried, Temple, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll
call.
Proved by Temple, seconded by Washburn that we do now adjourn to meet Wednesday, January,
15th, 1936 at 9 o'clock A. M: carried, Temple, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll
call.

The City Commission met pursuant to adjournment, Mayor Temple and Commissioners Washburn
and Clark present on roll call.
RESOLUTION NO. 0-172, WHEREAS, by the terms of the Will of A: E. Larson, deceased, all
interest of the deceased in and to certain real property in Yakima Heights Acre Tracts,
Yakima County, Washington, subject to a life estate in Rose B. Larson, is bequeathed to
the City of Yakima for the purpose of a public art gallery and museum; and
WHEREAS, to assist in the maintenance of said property for such
purpose, the sum of One Hundred Thousand Dollars ( #100,000.00) has also been'given to
said City by said deceased, in trust, the revenue therefrom to be used for such mainten-
ance; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF YAKIMA:
That the bequest of A. E. Larson of the.real property for such art
gallery and museum, described as
Lots 1, 2,'7,, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10, Yakima Heights Acre Tracts,
according to the official plat thereof on file and of record in the office of the Auditor
of Yakima County, Washington; situate in Yakima County, Washington;
together with said trust funds in the sum of One Hundred Thousand Dollars ($100,0)00.00)
and the income therefrom, be and they are hereby accepted by the City of Yakima.
DATED at Yakima, Washington, this 15th day of January, 1936.

Moved by Temple, seconded by Clark that the City Engineer and Consulting Engineer having
reported the tabulation of the bids for the construction of the Sewage Disposal Plant,
with their recommendation of the bids to be accepted; it is ordered that the following
bids be accepted and contracts awarded to said firms:
Dorr Company, Inc., for four (4) Settling Tank units for round
tanks at a total lump sum price of Twenty-three Thousand ($23,000.00)_ Dollars.
Dorr Company, Inc., for complete Digestion Tank units, known by
the trade name of "Dorr Multidigestion System" at a total lump sum price of Six Thousand
Six Hundred Twenty -four ($6,624.00) Dollars.
Palmer supply Co. for one (1) only Sludge Pump at a lump su.m. price
of Seven Hundred forty -four ($7+4.00) Dollars.

It is further ordered that all bids covering Bar Screens and Cumminutor
be held for further consideration until February 1st, 1936. All other bids are hereby
rejected: carried, Temple, Mashburn and ;Clark voting aye on roll call.
