The City Commission met in regular session, Mayor Temple and Commissioners Washburn
and Clark present on roll call. _
Moved by Temple, sdconded by Washburn that the minutes of the regular meeting of Monday,
September 23, 1935 and adjourned meeting thereof, be approved as read: carried, Temple,
Washburn.and Clark voting aye on roll call.
Moved by Washburn, seconded by Temple that the payrolls for the month of September, 1935
be allowed and the City Clerk authorized to issue warrants as follows: Various Dept.
$4,702.75; Police Dept. $3,459.75; Health Dept.'$530.50; Irrigation Dept. $315.00; Ceme-
tery $127.5.7 Park $100.00; F. R. & P. $329.75; Municipal $100.00; Library $615.45 and
Water Dept. J2,701.27: carried, Temple, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll call.
Moved by Temple, seconded by Washburn that the following payrolls be allowed and the
City Clerk authorized to issue warrants as follows: Park $252.00; Cemetery $75.60;
Cemetery Care $159.00 and Secondary Highway $904.15: carried, Temple, Washburn and Clark
voting aye on roll call.
RESOLUTION NO. C -154, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA, WASH-
INGTON:
That it is its intention to improve that certain property herein-
after described, by constructing pipe sewers with the necessary Wye branches, manholes,
flush tanks and water connections therefor, located as follows:
Beginning at the intersection of Lenox Avenue
with Eleventh Avenue South; thence north along
Eleventh Avenue South to West Washington Street.
Also beginning at a point on Lenox Avenue 135
feet east of the east line of Pleasant Avenue;
thence north parallel with Pleasant Avenue to
West Washington Street.
Also beginning at a point on Lenox Avenue 140
feet east of the east line of Queen Avenue;
thence north parallel with Queen Avenue to
West Washington Street.
Also beginning at a point on Lenox Avenue. 140
feet west of the west line of Queen Avenue
thence north parallel with Queen Avenue to West
Washington Street.
The district to,:be served by and assessed for the above described
improvement is described as follows, Ito-wit:
Beginning at a -point on West Washington Street
.125 fept•, east -of : the east line of Eleventh Avenue
Souk -,then e south parallel with Eleventh Avenue
South to Lenox Avenue; thence west along Lenox
Avenue to Twelfth Avenue South; thence north along
Twelfth Avenue South to West Washington Street;
thence east along West Washington Street to the
point of beginning;
the above described sewers to be constructed in full accordance with the plans and
specifications to be prepared by the City Engineer and filed with the City Clerk.
All persons who may desire to object to said proposed improvement
are hereby notified to appear and present such objection, if any, at a meeting of the
City Commission to be held at its office in the City Hall in the City of Yakima, Yakima
County, Washington, at the hour of ten o'clock A. M., on Monday, the 21st day of October,
1935, which time and place are hereby fixed for.the hearing of all matters relating to
said proposed improvement or objections thereto, and for determining the method of pay-
ment therefor; and the City Clerk is hereby directed to give due notice of said 'hearing
and of the intention to.make the aforesaid imprevement.
The cost and expense of said improvement shall be borne by and
assessed againstall of the property legally and properly assessable therefor as 'provided
by law and as above described; and the City Engineer is hereby directed to submit to the
City Commission at or prior to the date fixed herein for said hearing, all of the data
and other information required by law to be by him submitted.
