The City Commission met in regular session, Mayor Temple and Commissioners Washburn and
Clark present on roll call.
Moved by_Temple, seconded by Washburn that the minutes of the regular meeting of Monday,
February 18th, 1935 be approved as read: carried, Temple, Washburn and Clark voting aye
on roll call.
Moved by Temple, seconded by Clark that the claim of Leo M. Cannan for damages in the
sum of 1,500.00,-alleged to have been sustained by reason of falling into an open ditch
about.three hundred feet south of the junction of Tiet.on Drive and.25th Avenue South is
hereby denied: carried, Temple, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll call.
ORDINANCE NO. B -86, entitled, "AN ORDINANCE enumerating, defining and declaring. certain
places, things and acts to be nuisances; providing for the abatement thereof; providing
penalties for the causing, keeping, maintaining, permitting,, suffering or allowing
thereof, and declaring an emergency ", was introduced by Temple and read by the City
Clerk.
Moved by Clark, seconded by Washburn that Ordinance No. B -86 be passed to its second
reading and read by title only: carried, Temple, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll
call.
Moved by Clark, seconded by Washburn that Ordinance No. B -86 be passed to its third
reading and read in full: carried, Temple, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll call.
Moved by Clark, seconded by Washburn that Ordinance No. B -86 be passed as finally read:

Moved by Temple, seconded by Clark that we do now adjourn to meet Thursday, February 28,
1935 at 9 o'clock A. M: carried, Temple, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll call.

be allowed and the City Clerk authorized to issue warrants as follows: Various ;Dept.

Policemens' Relief & Pension,Fund $211.25: Fire Dept. $4,702.75: Library $555.50:

Fund $329.75: Water Dept. $$3,.230.03: carried, Temple, Washburn and Clark voting aye
on roll call..
Moved by Washburn, seconded by Clark that we do now adjourn: carried, Temple, Washburn
and Clark voting aye on roll call.
Moved by 'Washburn, seconded by Temple that a Relief Committee to be known as the "Yakima
Relief Committee" be appointed by the Mayor; said Committee to administer such funds as
may come into its possession through gifts, donations, etc.: carried, Temple, Washburn
and Clark voting aye on roll call.
Moved. by Temple, seconded by Washburn that the following persons be named as�the "Yakima
Relief Committee ": C. E. Crownover, Dr. Lloyd Moffitt and Forrest Herring; said Forrest
Herring to be treasurer and handle all funds subject to the order of a majority of said
board: carried, Temple, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll all.
