WHEREAS, the "36th Annual-National-Night Out"provides a unique opportunity for
the.i-fenry Beauchamp Community Center to join forces with thousands of other communities
across the country in promoting cooperative,police-community crime and drug prevention
efforts; and
WHEREAS, the.7-fenry Beauchamp Community Center plays a vitalro&e in assisting the
(Yakima Police Department through joint crime and drug prevention efforts in the City of
(Yakima and is supporting 'National-Night Out 2021" locally; and
'EcEAS, it is essential that all citizens of the City of(Yakima be aware of the
importance of crime prevention programs and impact that their participation can have on
reducing crime and drug abuse in the City of(Yakima; and
WHEREAS,police-community partnerships and neighborhood safety, awareness, and
cooperation are important themes of the 'NationalNght Out"programs.
WOW, 2'XEREcFORE, I, Patricia Byers, Wtayorof the City of(Yakima and on behalf of
the (Yakima City Council do hereby proclaim(Tuesday,August 3, 2021 as

in the City of(Yakima and call upon all citizens to join the.7-fenry Beauchamp Community
Center, the (Yakima Police Department and the WationalAssociation of(Town Watch in
supporting the "36tf Annual-National-Wight Out. "
