The City Commission met in regular session, Mayor Stratton and Commissioners Washbu
and__Clark present on roll call.
Moved by Stratton, seconded by Washburn that the minutes of the regular meeting of M
day, July 23rd, 1934 be approved as read: carried, Stratton, Washburn and Clark vot

Moved by Mashburn, seconded by Stratton that the payrolls on the Water. Dept. in the sum
of $294.50 be allowed and the City Clerk authorized to issue warrants therefor: carried,

RESOLUTION NO. C -86, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA, WASH®
INGTON:
That it is the intention of the City Commission of the City of
Yakima, Washington, to improve. Fifth Avenue North by the construction of Portland cem
concrete sidewalks four feet in width, along both sides thereof, from Cherry Avenue t
Willow Street, and by doing all such other work as may be necessary in connection .the
with, all in accordance with plans and specifications therefor to be prepared by the
City Engineer and filed with the.City Clerk.
All persons who may to object to said proposed improvemen
are hereby notified to appear and present such objections at a meeting of the City
Commission to be held at its offices in the City Office Building in the City of Yakim
Washington, at the hour of nine o'clock A.M..; on Monday, the. 20th day of August, 1934
which time and place are hereby fixed for the hearing of all:matters relating to said
proposed improvement or objections thereto and for determining the method of payment
therefor, and the City Clerk is hereby directed to give due notice of said hearing an
of the intention to make the aforesaid improvement.
The costs and expense of said improvement shall be borne by and
assessed against all of the property legally,a nd properly assessable therefor, as pro
vided by law, and the City Engineer is hereby directed to submit to the City Commissi
at or.prior to the date fixed herein for' -said hearing, all of the data and other info
mation required by law to be submitted by.him.
