The City Commission met in regular session, Mayor Stratton and Commissioners Washburn
and Clark present on roll call.
Moved by Stratton, seconded by Washburn that the minutes of the regular meeting of Mon-
day, July 16th, 1934 be approved as read: carried, Stratton, Washburn and Clark: voting
aye,-_on roll call.
Moved by Washburn, seconded by Stratton that the following payrolls be allowed and the
City Clerk authorized to issue warrants therefor: Street Dept. $1,042.44; Permanent High
way $96.00; Indebtedness Fund $86.09; Cemetery $72.00; Cemetery Care $417.00; Park
$40.3.75; carried, Stratton, Washburn and Clark rating aye on roll call.
Moved by Washburn, seconded by Stratton that claims numbered from 30632 to 30674- inc.,
in the sum of $552,201.91 be allowed and the City Clerk authorized to-issue warrants there
for on the following funds: Current Expense $911.44; Bond Sinking $470- 37.73; Cemetery
$10.50; Road & Bridge $2,060.11; Indebtedness $55..43; L.I.D. Guaranty $1,000.00; Irri-
gation $21.50; Municipal Garage $274.90: carried, Stratton, Mashburn and Clark voting
aye on roll call..
RESOLUTION NO. C -55, WHEREAS, Article 111, of Ordinance No. A -1225, passed by the City
Commission of the City of Yakima, on the 22nd day of September, 1930, provided among
other things that -t e City Commission determine and designate traffic signs and signals
to be placed upon the streets and alleys of said city, subsequent to the passage of said
ordinance, and
WHEREAS, it is deemed expedient by the City Commission to cause
stop signs and signals to be placed uponia.rious streets of the City of Yakima for the
protection and safety of the people of said city;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF YAKIMA:
That an automatic traffic signal be placed at the intersection of
West Yakima Avenue and Fifth Avenue; that a stop sign be placed on the south side of
West Yakima Avenue at its intersection with Sixth Avenue South and that a stop sign be
placed on the north side,of West Yakima Avenue at its intersection with Sixth Avenue
North.
Adopted by the City Commission this 23rd day of July, 1934.
