Commission of the City of Yakima, on the 22nd day of September, 1930, provided among
other things that the City Commission determine and designate traffic signs and signals
to be placed upon the streets and alleys of said city, subsequent to the passage of said
ordinance, and
WHEREAS, it is deemed expedient by the City Commission to cause
stop signs and signals to be placed upon various streets of the City of Yakima for the
protection and safety of the people of said city;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF YAKIMA:
That the automatic traffic signal heretofore operated at the inter-
section of South Sixth Avenue and Walnut Street, be transferred to the intersection of
South Fifth Avenue and Walnut Street; that stop signs'be placed on the east and west
sides of Fifth Avenue -North at its intersection with "C" Street; That stop signs be
placed on,the north and south sides of "C" Street and Lincoln Avenue at the intersection
of Sixth Avenue North; That a stop sign be placed on the south side of Fruitvale Boule-
vard at Sixth Avenue North; That a stop sign be placed on the north side of West Walnut
Street on Sixth Avenue South; That stop.signs be placed on the north and south sides of
West Yakima Avenue at its intersection with Sixth Avenue;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the following stop signs be removed
from their present location, to -wit: From Fifth Avenue on the north side of Walnut
Street; from the east and west sides of Sixth Avenue North at "C" Street and Lincoln
Avenue; From the south side of West Yakima Avenue and Fifth Avenue South; From the west
sdies of Sixth Avenue at West Walnut Street.
ADOPTED BY THE CITY COMMISSION this 19th day of June, 1934.

ORDINANCE NO. B -71, entitled, "AN ORDINANCE amending Part II, Use Districts, Section 2
General and Part III, Heights Districts, Section 10- General, and Part IV, Area Districts,
Section 15 General, of Ordinance No. B -22 of the City of Yakima, and declaring an emer-
gency," was introduced by Stratton and read by the City Clerk.
