Moved by Stratton, seconded by Washburn that the minutes of the regular meeting of Mon -..
day, March 26th, 1934 and adjourned meeting thereof be approved as read: carried, Strat-
ton, Washburn and Clark voting aye on. roll. ,call.. _ _
RESOLUTION NO. 0-81, A RESOLUTION setting aside all designations of depositaries for the
deposit of funds of the City of Yakima and authorizing the City Treasurer to deposit
such funds in any Bank or Banks in the State of Washington.

WHEREAS, it appears that the Banks of the City of Yakima are unwlill-
ing to continue to accept deposits of the City of Yakima and pay therefor the two per)
cent interest as required by law, and
WHEREAS, it appears that such Banks as officially designated de-
positaries of the City of Yakima shall pay two per cent interest upon daily deposits of
said city funds, and
WHEREAS, said Banks have notified the City of Yakima to withdraw
said deposits, or in lieu thereof accept interest at one per cent on said deposits, and
WHEREAS, it appears from an opinion of the Attorney General that)
the Treasurer of the City of Yakima can deposit the funds in his custody in any bank
or Banks in the State of Washington which have not been officially - designated as depos-
itaries by the Treasurer of the City of Yakima as provided by law;
NOW, - THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Commission of the Citty
of Yakima that all designations of depositaries for funds of the City of Yakima heret;o-
f ore made be and they are.hereby revoked and the Treasurer of the City of Yakima is '
hereby authorized to deposit all funds•of the City of Yakima in such banks in the State
of Washington as he may choose; PROVIDED,HOWEVER, that said City Treasurer shall advise.
and confer with the City Commission as to what disposition he intends to make of the
funds of the city now in his possession or which may hereafter come into his possession,
and such deposits of city funds shall bear as high a rate of interest as said City
Treasurer is able to secure from the Banks in which such funds are deposited. j
