Moved by Stratton, seconded by Washburn that the minutes of the regular meeting of Mon- day, January 29th, 1934 and adjourned meetings thereof be approved as read: carried, Stratton, Washburn and Clark voting -aye on roll call. 1:Toved by Washburn, seconded by Stratton that the following. payrolls be allowed and the City Clerk authorized to issue warrants as follows: Street Dept. $968.74; Cemetery. $66.00; Cemetery Care $42.00: carried, Stratton, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll call. Moved by Washburn, seconded by Stratton that the following claims be allowed and the City Clerk authorized to issue warrants as follows: claims in the total amount of $34,509.23• numbered from 29920 to 30005 inc., and segregated as follows: Current Ex- pense $2,8+7.42; Cemetery Trust $13,863.79; Delinquent Property Sales $120.00; L.I.D. Guaranty.,_; $900.00; Fifth Avenue Impr. 15 674.50; Cemetery $51.70; Irrigation $671.99; Road '& Bridge i41.5�; Municipal Garage 247.64, L.I.D. Revolving ' 4.75 and Lighting $63.20: Park claims numbered 601 and 602 in the sum -of $10.53: carried, Stratton, Wash- burn and Clark voting aye on roll-call. RESOLUTION NO. C -76•, WHEREAS, by Ordinance it is provided that on the first Monday in February of each year, the City Commission shall pass a resolution prescribing the form of contract for the City Advertising for the ensuing year. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Commission of the City of Yakima, that the form of contract for the city advertising for the ensuing year shall be in substantially the form hereto attached and made a part hereof, and the.City Clerk is hereby directed to give' notice .for sealed proposals for a contract for doing the city advertising for the ensuing year by publishing the same in the newspaper doing the city advertising, for two successive issues, which notice shall contain a general state - ment of the terms of the contract to be let, together with the time and place when said bids will be opened, and providing that any and all bids may be rejected. - ADOPTED BY THE CITY COMMISSION, SIGNED and APPROVED this 5th day of February, 1934. B -62, entitled, "AN ORDINANCE providing for the taking and damaging-of, land for the purpose of widening Fifth Avenue North, in the City of Yakima, Washington; authorizing the instatution of - condemnation proceedings, providing for payment of com- pensation, damages-and costs, and declaring an emergency," was introduced by Stratton and. read by the City.
