Moved by Stratton, seconded by Washburn that the minutes of the regular meeting of Mon- day, October 9th, 1933 and adjourned meeting thereof be approved as read: carried, Stratton, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll call. Moved by Clark, seconded by Stratton that the following payrolls be allowed and the City Clerk authorized to issue warrants therefore as follows: Street Dept. $976.12; Cemetery $72:00; Cemetery Care $150:00; Parks.$202.75: carried, Stratton, Washburn and Clark voting aye, on roll call. Moved by Stratton, seconded by Washburn that.the application.of Crenshaw & Bloxum, Inc. for a license to wholesale beer in the City of Yakima is hereby granted and the City Clerk authorized to issue a license therefore: carried, Stratton, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll call. ORDINANCE Nn. B- 569.entitled, - "An Ordinance relating to public eating places, public kitchens, and to the sale to the public of prepared food for immediate consumption; pro- viding revenue through an application fee; a license fee, and a penalty for violation; repealing Ordinance No. B -37 of the ordinances of the City of Yakima, and all other ordinances in conflict herewith; and declaring an emergency ", was introduced by Wash- burn-and read. by the City Clerk. Moved -by Clark,.seconded by Stratton that Ordinance No. B -56 be passed to its second reading and read by title only: carried,_Stratton, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll call. Moved by Clark, seconded by Stratton that Ordinance No. B ®56 be passed to its third reading and read in full: carried, Stratton, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll call. Moved by Clark, seconded by Stratton,,that Ordinance No. B -56 be passed as finally read; carried, Stratton, Washburn and Clark voting aye on .roll, call. Moved by Stratton, seconded by Clark that there being no further business to come be- fore the.Commission we do now adjourn to meet again at 2:30 P. M: carried, Stratton, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll call. ADJOURNFP MEETING, MONDAY, OCTOBER 16, 1933, 2;30 P.M. Moved by Stratton, seconded by Clark that upon the hearing of T. Mine, Japanese,charged with the violation'of Sec. 5, of Ordinance No A -360, and summoned to appear before the City Commission at 2:30 P. M. on this date to show cause why his license for operating a hotel at No. 212 S Front Street in the City of Yakima should not be revoked, and the said Mine appearing in person and by his counsel, W. P. Guthrie, and the City being represented by Mr. Benoit for V. 0. Nichoson, City Attorney, and L. B. Vincent appear- ing on behalf of an estate involved in said controversy, and upon the accusations of Chief - ofPolice Robinson-of the following violations and convictions, to wit: July 15, 1931, Disorderly by fighting, fined $25.00;,April 18, 1932, illegal possession of in- toxicating liquor, fined $100.00 and 90 days; August 3, 1932, illegal possession,. fined $100.00 and 60 days and August 11, 1932, illegal possession, fined $50600; said Mine making no denial of the aforesaid allegations of violations of the laws and ordinances as in such cases made and provided, it is ordered that said hotel license -be revoked and cancelled to become effective October 31st, 1933: carried, Stratton, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll call.
