C -68, A RESOLUTION providing for the form of ballot to be used at the special election to be held in 1he City of Yakima, Washington, on the 21st day of July, 1933® WHEREAS, by Ordinance No. B ®54 of the City of Yakima, - it is prom vided, that a special election shall be held therein on July 21, 1933, for the purpose of submitting_to the qualified Voters of said City for ratification or rejection a..pro® posed Ordinance'granting-to Pacific Power & Light Company, its successors and assigns, the right to construct, maintain and operate in the present and future streets, alleys. - and public ways of the City of Yakima, and its successors, electric light and power lines and appurtenances thereto, for the purpose of supplying electricity and electric- service to the City of Yakima, the inhabitants thereof, and others, providing for the repeal of Ordinance No. 424 of the City of,North.Yakima (now City of Yakima) passed December 19, 1904, and approved December 20, 1904, which ordinance was on the 24th day of June, 1933, duly adopted by the City-Commission after having been on file with the City Clerk of said City for public inspection for more than one week prior.thereto; AND, WHEREAS, it is necessary to provide for the form of ballot to be used at said election: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF YAKIMA: That the ballot used at the special.election on July 21, 1933, shall be in substantially the following form: _ BALLOT S P E C I A L E L E C T I O N Held in the City of .Yakima, ,Washington, . on July 21, 1933 Under and•Pursuant to Ordinance No. B-54 of said City. - INSTRUCTIONS TO VOTERS Every voter desiring to vote in favor-of the following proposition shall,mark an X in the square opposite the words "For the Ordinance", and every voter desiring to vote against the said proposition shall mark an X in the square opposite the words "Against the Ordinances PROPOSITION "Shall the City of Yakima grant to Pacific Power & Light Company, its successors and assigns, a franchise to construct, maintain and operate in the present and future streets, alleys and public ways of the City of Yakima, and its successors, electric light and power lines and appurtenances thereto, for the purpose of supplying electricity, and electric, service to the City of Yakima, for a period of twenty -five years as provided by the terms of Ordinance.No. B -54 of said City of Yakima granting to said Pacific Power & Light Company, its successors arid' assigns, said franchise, and passed by the City Commission on the 24th day of June, 1933 and hereby submitted to the qualified voters of said City for their authorization and,approval or rejection, which said fran- chise and proposition is more fully set forth in said Ordinance No. B -54 of said pity, being the one hereby submitted and voted upon."
