Mayor Buck absent. Moved by Clark, seconded by Bishop that the City Engineer having reported the completion of the sewer on 31st Avenue South; said work is hereby accepted and the City Engineer instructed to prepare an assessment roll for said district: carried Bishop and Clark voting aye on roll .call. Mayor Buck absent. Moved by Clark, seconded by Bishop that this being the time for receiving bids on copper tubing for the Water Department; said bids were read and turned over to the Water Supte for tabulation and the bid of Consolidated Supply Co. in the sum of $2,372.00 accepted as the lowest and best bid: carried Bishop and Clark voting aye on roll call. Mayor Buck absent. Moved by 'Clark, seconded by Bishop that the following claims for damages in connection 9 with the flooding of the drain on East Yakima Avenue and other streets in that vicinity be denied: Nathan Rosler, et ux; Jos. V. Bouchard , et ux; Alfred C. Labraaten, et ux; Robert V. Halloway, et ux; Cora M. Vaden, a widow; Wayne W. Hartley, et ux; Leo J. Sundull, et ux: carried Bishop and Clark voting aye on roll call. Mayor Buck absent. Moved by Bishop, seconded by 'Clark that the City Engineer having filed the assessment roll in L.I.D. No. 616, providing for an irrigation system in .Central Park Addition; said roll is hereby accepted and the City :Clerk instructed to give notice of hearing on said roll for Monday, July 19, 1948, at 10:00 o'clock A.M: carried Bishop and Clark voting aye on roll call. C -791, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF YAKInd ?A,- WASHINGTON: That it is its intention to construct a domestic water system to serve all of the lots and tracts of land included within the following described distric situated in Yakima County, Washington: 0 Lots 5 to 22 inclusive of Hamberg's Ad- dition to Yakima; also the.EtiE2E2_SW4 NW-1 of Section 23, Township 12 North, Range 18, E.W.M. Said improvement to consist of the installation of the necessary mains, fire hydrants, valves and other appurtenances for the purpose of supplying water for domestic use, and to be constructed in full accordance with the plans and specifica- tions to be prepared by the (City Engineer and filed with the City Clerk. All persons who may desire to object to said proposed improvement are: hereby notified to appear and present such objection, if any, at a meeting of the 'City ..Commission, to be held at. its office in the City Hall in the City of Yakima, Yakima County, Washington, at the hour of 10 :00 o'clock A.M., on Monday, the 19th day of .July, 1948, which time and place are hereby fixed for the hearing on all matters relating to the said proposed improvement, or objections thereto, and for determining the method of payment therefor; and the City Clerk is hereby directed to give due notice of said hear- ing and of the intention to make the aforesaid improvement. The cost and expense of said improvement, including the cost of acquiring right of way easements, engineering, surveying, advertising, inspection, pub- lication of notices and all other expenses incident thereto shall be borne by and assessed against all of the property legally and properly assessable therefor, as pro- vided by law and as above described; and the City Engineer is hereby directed to submit to the City Commission at or prior to the date fixed herein in for said hearing, all of the data and other information required by law to be by him submitted. C -792, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE 'CITY OF YAKIMA, WASH: That it is its intention to improve the alleys extending from East Yakima Avenue to East "A" Street, between North Eighth Street and North Ninth Street by paving the same with asphaltic concrete, placed on a gravel base, all of said improve- ments to be constructed in full accordance with the plans and specifications to be pre- pared by the City Engineer and filed with the City�Clerk. ;Ct The district to be served by and assessed for the above described improvements is described as follows, to -wit: Lots 1 to 16 inclusive of Block 170, Huson's Addition to Yakima, Washington. No. 613, providing for curbs and gutters on 26th Avenue South and there being no objections in writing or otherwise to said assessment roll or any part thereof; It is ordered that the ordinance No. B -888, .confirming said assessment roll and every part; thereof be passed as read: carried Bishop and Clark voting aye on roll call. Buck absent. ORDINANCE NO. B -888, confirming the assessment roll covering Local Improvement District No. 613 as created and established by Ordinance No. B -759 of the Ordinances of the City of Yakima. ORDINANCE NO. B -889, fixing the time of delinquency of installments of assessments levied for the payment of the cost of the improvement in Local Improvement District No. 627, and providing for the issuance of bonds with coupons attached for the payment of the unpaid portion thereof. Moved by Clark, seconded by Bishop that Ordinance No. B -889, fixing the time of delin- quency and prescribing the form of bond in L.I.D. No. 627 be passed as read: carried Bishop and Clark voting aye on roll call. Buck absent.
