Commissioners Moved by Clark, seconded by Bishop that the City Engineer having reported the completiol of the North Hillcrest Irrigation System, said work is.hereby accepted and the City Engineer instructed to prepare the assessment roll for said district: carried Buck, Bishop and Clark voting aye on roll call. Moved by Clark, seconded by Buck that this being the time for receiving bids for the construction of a sewer on Mead Avenue, the following were received: Gallagher and Brandt $150,224.74; Stateside Construction Co. $90,888.38; State Construction Co. $92,,875.58; Don Akins, Inc., $125,861.40: Upon taking said bids under advisement, a were rejected: carried. Buck, Bishop and Clark voting aye on roll call. Moved by Bishop, seconded by Buck that all renewal of applications for pinball 1 be referred to the Chief of Police and License inspector before being passed on City Commission: carried Buck and Bishop voting aye on roll call. No. 618, on said roll for Monday, Clark voting aye on roll by Buck that hereafter all applications for Wine and Beer City (Commission instead of the Mayor as has heretofore been and Bishop voting aye on roll call. No. C -783 providing for the construction of a sewer on Englewood Avenue and there being insufficient objection in writing or otherwise to said improvement, or any part thereof; It is ordered that Ordinance No. B -882 creating a local improvement district be passed as read: carried Buck, Bishop and Clark voting aye on roll call. B -8829 providing for the improvement of property in the City of Yakima, Washington, by the construction of a sewer; establishing a Local Improvement District, providing for the method of payment therefor and creating a special fund.. Moved by Clark, seconded by Bishop that Ordinance No. B -883 providing for the construe= tion of an irrigation system on Brown Avenue and other streets more particularly set forth in said ordinance and creating a local improvement district be passed as read: carried Buck, Bishop and tClark voting aye on roll call.. B -883, providing for the improvement of property in the City of Yakima, Washington, by constructing an irrigation system to serve various lots and tracts of land; establishing a local improvement district; providing for the method of payment therefor, and creating a special fund. ORDINANCE NO. B -884, confirming the assessment roll covering Local Improvement No. 623 as created and established by Ordinance No. B -778 of the Ordinances of of Yakima. ORDINANCE NO. B -885, amending Ordinance No. A -173 entitled: "AN ORDINANCE providing for the control and maintenance of irrigation systems established under and pursuant to the provisions of Chapter III of the Session Laws of the State of Washington for the year 1911, providing a method of levying assessments for the cost of water assessments properly chargeable thereto and for the expense of maintenance and control, creating a lien against the property within the limits of any such districts for delinquent assessments, providing a method for the collection of such assessments, prohibiting interference with the piping system of any such irrigation district and providing a penalty for the violation thereof." by Clark., seconded by Buck that Ordinance Bishop and (Clark voting aye on roll call. authorizing purchase of property and expenditure an emergency.
