Th_e minutes of the regular meeting of Monday, June 7, 1948 and adjourned meeting there- of were approved as read; Moved by Bishop, seconded by Buck that the following payrolls be allowed and the City Clerk authorized to issue warrants as follows: Airport Hangar Bldg. $199.20; Electrical Dept. $172.70; Garage $100.10; Sanitation $2346.90;. Cemetery $883.40; Street $3598.20 and Water 03057.90: carried Buck, Bishop and Clark voting aye on roll call. Moved by Buck, seconded by Clark that the City Engineer having filed the assessment roll in L.I.D. No. 524, being the DeAtley Park Irrigation System, with the City Treas- urer; It is ordered. that the City Clerk give notice of hearing on said roll for Tuesday, July 6, 1948, at 10 o'clock A.M: carried Buck,. Bishop and Clark voting aye on roll call. Moved by Buck, seconded by Clark that the City Engineer having reported the completion of the Brackett Park Irrigation System in L.I.D. No. 618, said work is hereby accepted and the .City Engineer instructed to prepare an assessment roll for said district: carried Buck, Bishop and Clark voting aye on roll call. Moved by Buck, seconded by Clark that the 'City Engineer having reported the completion of the South 10th Street sidewalk district, L.I.D. No. 644, said work is hereby accepte and the City Engineer instructed to prepare an assessment for said district: carried Buck, Bishop and Clark voting aye on roll call. Moved by Buck, seconded by Bishop that this being the time for the continued hearing on Resolution No. C -781, for the construction of an irrigation system known as the "Brown Avenue Irrigation System" and the City Engineer having filed a supplemental report recommending that the property now served by the Folsom Avenue line and also the business district at 16th Avenue and Summitview be eliminated from the district; It is ordered that the City Attorney be instructed to prepare an ordinance creating a local improvement district for said work: carried Buck, Bishop and Clark voting aye on roll call. Moved by Bishop, seconded by Clark that this being the time for the hearing on Resolu- tion No. C -782 providing for the construction of a sewer known as the Fruitvale Sewer System and there being insufficient objections in writing or otherwise to said im- provement or any part thereof; :It is ordered that Ordinance No. B -881 creating a local improvement district be passed as read; carried Buck, Bishop and 'Clark voting aye on roll call. ORDINANCE NO. B -881, providing for the improvement of property in the City of Yakima., Washington, by the: construction of a sewer; establishing a Local Improvement District; providing for the method of payment therefor and creating a special fund. Moved by Buck, seconded by Bishop that upon the recommendation of the tCity Engineer that a storm sewer be constructed on 12th Avenue from West Yakima to Division St; It is ordered that the City Engineer proceed to construct said improvement at the expense of the 'City Street: Dept: carried Buck, Bishop and (Clark voting aye on roll call. Moved by Bishop, seconded by Buck that an ordinance authorizing the purchase of property and expenditure of funds not budgeted and declaring an emergency relative to the purchase and operation of the Airport is hereby tabled for one week: carried Buck, Bishop and :Clark voting aye on roll call. Moved by Buck, seconded by Bishop that an ordinance amending A -173, which provides for the control and maintenance of the various irrigation districts as introduced , be laid on the table for one week: carried Buck, Bishop and Clark voting aye on roll call.
