The minutes of the regular meeting of Monday, March 22, 1948, and special meeting of March 263 1948, were approved as read. Moved by Clark, seconded by Bishop that the application of Best Electric Co. for an extension of time for 30 days for the completion of their contract from May 1, 1948 to June 1, 1948, is hereby granted: carried Buck, Bishop and Clark voting aye on roll call. Moved by Buck, seconded by Clark that the claim heretofore filed by John. E. Flynn. for damages in the sum of $500.00 alleged to have been caused by reason of injuries to his property,is hereby rejected: carried Buck, Bishop and Clark voting aye on roll call. Moved by Bishop, seconded by Buck that this being the time for receiving bids for a loader for the Street Dept. and the bid of tl�� Intervalley Equipment Co., on a scoop - mobile in the sum of $3,923.79 being the lowest and best bid, said bid was awarded to it: carried Buck, Bishop and .Clark voting aye on roll call. RESOLUTION NO. C -776, `!IIIEREAS, the Yakima Public Library Fund shows a deficit of $9038.41 as carried on the books of the 'City Treasurer, and such apparent deficit arises in part from the fact that receipts were less than anticipated revenues for various prior ,years, and is in part due to including in budgets for prior years carry -over cash balances which were erroneous; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City {Commission that the City Treasurer be and she is hereby authorized to transfer the sum of $9038.41 from the current expense account of the city to the Library Fund of the City of Yakima. Dated this 29th day of March, 1948, N. B -861, amending Section 2 of Ordinance No. B -810 entitled "AN ORDINANCE relating to and regulating the erection, and maintenance of advertising signs, bill- boards and banners in the City of Yakima; regulating advertising on the streets of the City; requiring a license for bill posting, a bond and license for sign erectors, a permit for the erection of signs and billboards; providing for license permit and in- spection fees, fixing penalties for the violation.thereof and repealing Ordinance No. A -138, passed and approved by the City Commission November 141 19133 and any and all ordinances amendatory thereof." Moved by Buck, seconded by Bishop that Ordinance No. B -861 be passed as read: carried Buck, Bishop and Clark voting aye on roll call. Moved by Buck, seconded by 'Clark that we do now adjourn to meet Wednesday, March 31, 1948, at 10 o'clock A.M: carried Buck, Bishop and Clark voting aye on roll call. Moved by Bishop, seconded by Buck that the payrolls for the month of March, 1948 be allowed and the.City Clerk authorized to issue warrants as follows: Various Depts. $6191.93; Police $12,172.72; Fire $13,415.00; Engineering $3,239.00; Library $2,065.95; Irrigation $990.00; F.R. & P. $1,997.30; P.R. & P. $310.00; Cemetery x¢230.00 and Street $404.50: carried Buck, Bishop and Clark voting aye on roll call. Moved by Bishop, seconded by Buck that the following payrolls be allowed and the City Clerk authorized to issue warrants as follows: Irrigation $374.00; :Cemetery $602.20; Sanitation $286.2.60; Parking Meters x$369.25; Garage $113.30; Street 3468.10; Water $2950.97: carried Buck, Bishop and Clark voting aye on roll call.
