The minutes of the regular meeting of Monday, March 15, 1948 and adjourned meeting there- of were approved as read. Moved by Buck, seconded by Bishop that the application of Gilbert H. Moen heretofore filed on March 8, 7.948, and taken under advisement on said date for permission to re- move the curb in front of the lot at 111 So. 5th Ave., owned by Mr. Aiken, is hereby granted: carried Buck, Bishop and (Clark voting aye on roll call. r,Zoved by Buck, seconded by Bishop that a public hearing be called for Tuesday, April 6, 19481 for the purpose of rezoning the property from North First Street to North Fourth Street and between "B" Street and "D" Street: carried Buck, Bishop and Clark voting aye on roll call. Moved by Buck, seconded by Bishop that an ordinance amending Section 2 of Ordinance No. B -810, relative to the erection, maintenance and form of advertising signs was presented for passage, but no action was taken and the matter deferred until one week: carried Buck, Bishop and Clark voting aye on roll call. RESOLUTION NO. C -775, WHEREAS, the :City of Yakima acting by and through. the Mayor and City Clerk has heretofore on February 19, 1948, executed a certain sublease with the General Petroleum Corporation as sublessee therein, for a portion of the airport proper- - ty now occupied by the City of Yakima, under its lease with Yakima County, Washington, the said property being fully described in said sublease and the same having been ex- ecuted for the purpose of permitting the sublessee to construct upon said premises a dispensing unit for a tank farm site for the purpose of serving said airport and the customers thereof, and it being deemed for the best interests of the City of Yakima that said sublease be executed. IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE 'CITY COM14ISSION OF YAKIMAY A.SHINGTON That the sublease herein mentioned to the General Petroleum Cor- poration heretofore executed by the Mayor and the 'City Clerk on February 19, 1948, for a portion of the airport premises occupied by the City under its lease with Yakima County, Washington,, which said sublease is for a term to run concurrently with the said lease with Yakima County, Washington, and the execution thereof on said date be and the same hereby is ratified, approved and confirmed. B -860, fixing the time of delinquency of installments of assessments levied for the payment of the cost of the improvement in Local Improvement District No. 638, and providing for the method of payment of the unpaid portion thereof. PAloved by ,Clark, seconded by Bishop that Ordinance No. B -860 be passed as read: carried Buck, Bishop and Clark voting aye on roll call. Moved by Buck, seconded by Bishop that we do now adjourn: carried Buck, Bishop and Clark voting aye on roll call. SPECIAL MEETING At a special meeting of the City Commission called in connection witha public hearing on Friday, March 26, before the Commission in the matter of the title to what is known as Parker Field and their being no opposition evidenced by such meeting to the conveyance as herein referred to, it was moved by Buck and seconded by Bishop that the City Commissioners of Yakima cooperate with the Junior College and public school officials in their program to secure the title to Parker Field and that the Commission agrees to execute the necessary instruments to carry out such program insofar as the Commission has authority to d.o so.
