The minutes of the regular meeting of Monday, February 2, 1948, were approved as read: Moved by Bishop,'seconded by Buck that this being the time for receiving bids for the purchase of chlorine for the Water Dept; One 4 door sedan for the Police Dept; MC -2 Liquid Asphalt and a Power Machine for the Cemetery, the following awards were made: Hooker Mfg. Co. of Tacoma'-on Chlorine; Burrows Motor Co. on the 4 door ,sedan, Ross and Beasley of Seattle on Power Mower for Cemetery; no awards were made for MC -2 Liquid Asphalt: carried Buck, Bishop and ,Clark voting aye on roll call. Moved by Buck, seconded by Bishop that the Mayor andiCity Clerk are hereby authorized to execute a statutory quit claim deed correcting the description in a certain deed heretofore given by the City of Yakima to DeWitt Harrington, a bachelor, dated Feb- ruary 26, 1946, and filed for record on January 27, 1948 in Volume 450 of Deeds Aud- itors No. 1196336: carried Buck, Bishop and +Clark voting aye on roll call. ORDINANCE NO. B -8529 amending Ordinance No. B -293 entitled "AN ORDINANCE regulating and restricting the location of trades and industries; regulating and limiting the use of-buildings and premises; and the height and size of buildings; providing for yards, courts and other open spaces; establishing districts for said purposes, and providing for a board of adjustment, and repealing Ordinances B -22, B -35, B -43, B -51, B -71, B -126, B -147 and B- 172." Moved by Clark,- seconded by Buck that Ordinance No. B -852 be passed as read: carried Buck, Bishop and Clark voting aye on roll call. ORDINANCE NO. B -853, amending Section 3 of Ordinance No. B -812 entitled "AN ORDINANCE providing for the improvement of the alley extending from West Walnut Street to Vilest Spruce Street between Ninth Avenue South and--Tenth Avenue South, by paving the same with Asphaltic concrete, two inches in thickness, placed ­on -_a four inch gravel base; establishing a Local Improvement District;.-providing the method of payment thereof and creating a special fund." Moved by Bishop, seconded by Buck that Ordinance No. B -853 be passed as read; carried Buck, Bishop and Clark voting aye on roll call.
