The City Commission met in regular session., Mayor Buck and Commissioners Clark and
Bishop present on :roll call.
The minutes of the regular meeting of Monday, January 26, 1948, be approved as :read:
Moved by Bishop, seconded by Buck that this being the time for receiving bids on auto-
motive equipment -for the Street, Sanitation, Fire and Building departments, the follow-
ing awards -were made: Rankin Implement Go. on 3 -12 ton International Model KBS. in
the sum of $5830.92; 4 -l4 ton International Trucks $6789.90; one 3/4 ton International
Pick =up in the sum of $1374.20; 4 Dump.-bodies and hoists for above equipment in the
sum of $2719.20; The South Tacoma Yielding Co. for 3 Garbage bodies and hoist in the
sum of $2805.00; Burrows Motor Co. 2 Ford Deluxe Sedans in the sum of $1469.81 each
carried Buck, Bishop and-Clark voting aye on roll call.
RESOLUTION NO. C -772, WHEREAS, by ordinance, it is provided that on the first Monday
in February of each year, the City Commission of the City of Yakima, Washington, shall
pass a resolution prescribing the form of contract for the city advertising for the
ensuing year;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Commission that the
form of contract for the city advertising for the ensuing year shall be in substan-
tially the form hereto . attached and made a part hereof, and the city clerk is hereby
directed to give notice for sealed proposals for a contract for doing the city adver-
tising for the ensuing year by publishing the same in the newspaper doing the city
printing and advertising for two consecutive issues, which notice shall contain a gen-
eral statement of the terms of the contract to be let, together with the time-and
place when said bids will be opened, and providing that any and all bids may b_e__re-
jected.
Adopted by the City Commission, signed and approved this 2nd
day of February, 1948.

RESOLUTION NO. C -773, WHEREAS application has been made for additional landing sched-
ules at the Yakima Airport, and the City Commission deems it advisable to establish a
revised schedule of rates,
MOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City (Commission of Yakima,
Washington:
Section 1. Schedule: The term "Schedule" shall mean proposed
regular departure of an aircraft at a specified time, daily or periodically, during
a calendar month (legally filed with appropriate agencies and approved by them).
Section 2.
Basic Operating Fees:
A. Aircraft
of gross weight of 20,000 pounds or less:
(1)
First schedule, $22.50 per month.
(2)
Second schedule, $22.50 per month.
(3)
Third schedule, $12650 per month.
(4)
Fourth schedule, $12.50 per month
(5)
Fifth and all additional schedules $7.50 per month.
B. Aircraft
of gross weight of more than 20,000 pounds:
(1)
First schedule, $45.00 per month.
(2)
Second schedule, $45.00 per month.
(3)
Third schedule, $25.00 per month.
(4)
Fourth schedule, 125.00 per month
(5)
Fifth and all additional schedules $15.00 per mon-
th.
Section 3. Standard Gross Weight: The 'standard gross weight
(or landing weight of aircraft at sea level) shall be determined by the aircraft li-
cense granted by the Civil Aeronautics 'Board or such government agency having jurisdic-
tion.

Moved by Buck, seconded by Clark that this being the time for the hearing on the
assessment roll in L.I.D. No. 638, a petition was presented protesting against the
final assessment, but said protest being signed by an insufficient number of property
owners in said district; It was ordered that Ordinance confirming the assessment roll
and every part thereof be passed as read carried Buck,Bishop and Clark voting aye on
roll call.
ORDINANCE NO. B -850, to be known as the Electrical Code of the City of Yakima for
safeguarding life and property by regulating the installation, alteration, repair, use
and operation of electric wires, appliances, apparatus and devises in or about building
on private or public property; providing for the licensing for regulation and revenue
of electrical contractors, dealers and wiremen; defining approved electrical materials
and appliances; prohibiting the sale or use of unapproved materials and appliances;
providing penalties for the violation hereof; repealing Ordinance No. B -25 of the City

of Yakima and all other ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith.
Moved by Clark, seconded by Buck that Ordinance No. B -850 be passed as read: carried
Buck, Bishop "and (Clark voting aye on roll call.
ORDINANCE NO. B -851, confirming the assessment roll covering Local Improvement District
No. 638, as created and established by Ordinance No. B -825, of the ordinances of the
City of Yakima.
