HomeMy WebLinkAbout01/19/1948 Business MeetingJanuary 19, 1948 The City Commission met in regular session, Mayor Buck and Commissioners ,Clark and Bishop present on roll call. The minutes of the regular meeting of Monday, January 12, 1948, were approved as read: Moved by Buck, seconded by "Clark that this being the time for the hearing on Resolution No. C -766 providing for the vacation of N. Front St. between the Johnnie Walker Auto Court on the South and the Bartlett Place on the North and there being no objections in writing or otherwise to said vacation proceedings or any.part thereof; It is ordered that the ordinance vacating said property be passed a's read: carried Buck, Bishop and Clark voting aye on roll call. O_cDINANCE NO. B -848, providing for the vacation of a street being that portion of North Front Street: between the Johnnie Walker Auto (Court as now situated on the south, and the Bartlett Place Street as now located on the north. Moved by Clark, seconded by Buck that Ordinance No. B -848 be passed as read: carried Buck, Bishop and Clark voting aye on roll call. Moved by !Clark, seconded by Bishop that on recommendation of the City Engineer the time limit for the completion of North First Street Sewer Disetrict , L.I.D. No. 630, be extended to February 15, 1948: carried Buck, Bishop and :Clark voting aye on roll call. Moved by Clark, seconded by Bishop that on recommendation of the City Engineer the time limit for the completion of Viola Avenue Sewer District, L.I.D. No. 632, be ex- tended to February 15, 1948: carried °Buck, Bishop and Clark voting aye on roll. call. Moved by Bishop, seconded by Buck that this being the time for receiving bids for Sand and Gravel for 1948, the bid of the Yakima Cement Products `Co. in the sum of 1.65 per cu. yd. for 3/8 " crushed rock; 1.40 per cu. yd. for 5/8" crushed rock and 1.75 per cu. yd. for washed concrete sand, be accepted'as the lowest and best bid; It being 'further understood that the price above quoted will be 60 cents less per cu. yd. de- livered at bunker: carried Buck, Bishop and Clark voting aye on roll call.
