HomeMy WebLinkAbout11/24/1947 Business MeetingNovember 24, 1947 The City Commission met in,regular session, Mayor Buck and Commissioners Bishop and Clark present on roll call. The minutes of the regular meeting of Monday, November 17, 1947, and adjourned meeting thereof were approved as read: Moved by Buck, seconded by Bishop that the report of the City Engineer of the comple- tion of the paving of the alley in Block Three, Heermants Addition is hereby accepted and that 25 per cent, of the cost of the improvement be paid from the City., Street Fund of the City of Yakima: carried Buck and Bishop voting aye on .roll call. Clark did not vote. Moved by Buck, seconded by Clark that this being the time for the hearing on Resolution No..0 -760 for improving streets in the South Grandview District by surfacing with as- phaltic road material and there being no objections in writing or otherwise to said improvement or.any part thereof: It is ordered that the ordinance creating a local improvement district be laid on the table for one week :. carried Buck, Bishop and Clark voting aye on roll call. Moved by Buck, seconded by Bishop that the property on North First Street extending from the existing City business limits to North Avenue, be designated as "Limited Business" and the City Engineer is hereby instructed to prepare a zoning map to that effect for said district: carried Buck, Bishop and Clark voting aye on roll call. Moved by Clark, seconded by Bishop that the City Attorney is hereby authorized to take the necessary legal action to enjoin the Nob Hill Water Users Association from damag- ing the streets of the City of Yakima by leakage from their Grandview Avenue Water main and other mains belonging toia.Aid company: carried Buck, Bishop and ;Clark voting aye on roll call.
