The City Commission met'in regular session, Mayor Buck and Commissioners Bishop and
Clark present on roll call.
Moved by Buck, seconded by Bishop that the minutes of the regular meeting of Monday,
October 27, 1947, and adjourned meeting thereof be approved as read: carried Buck,
Bishop and Clark voting aye on roll call.
Moved by Clark, seconded by Bishop that the hearing on Resolution No. C -753 providing
for the vacation of a portion of Lot 21, hacketts Subdivision be adjourned to Monday,
November 109 1947, at 10 otclock A.M: carried Buck, Bishop and Clark voting aye on
roll call.
Moved by Clark, seconded by Buck that this being the time for receiving bids-on the
construction of curbs and gutters on South Grandview Avenue, L.I.D. No. 636, the follow-
ing were 'received: State Construction Co. $600525.61; J. M. DeBlasio $53,489.24. The
bid --of J. M. DeBlasio being the lowest and best bid said contract was awarded to him
and the Vayor and City Clerk authorized to execute a contract on behalf of the City of
Yakima for the doing of said work upon the filing of the proper bond as provided by
law:- carried -Buck, Bishop and Clark voting aye on roll call.
Moved by Clark, seconded by Bishop that this being the time for the hearing on Resolu-
tion No. C -752, providing for the paving of the alleys extending from West Chestnut St.
to Bell Street between 14th Avenue and 15th Avenue South and between 15th Avenue South
And 16th Avenue South and there being no objections in writing or otherwise to said
improvement or any part thereof: It is ordered that the ordinance creating a local
improvement district be passed as read: carried Buck, Bishop and Clark voting aye on
roll call.
ORDINANCE NO. B -825, providing for the improvement of the alleys extending from West
Chestnut Street to Bell Street between Fourteenth Avenue South and Fifteenth Avenue
South, and between Fifteenth Avenue South and Sixteenth Avenue South , by paving the
same with asphaltic concrete two.inches thick; establishing a Local Improvement Dis-
trict, providing for the method of payment therefor, and creating a special fund.
Moved'by Clark, seconded by Bishop that Ordinance No. B -825 be passed as read: carried
Buck, Bishop and ,Clark voting aye on roll call.
Moved by Buck, seconded by Bishop that we do now adjourn to meet, Wednesday , November
5, 1947, at 10 o'clock A.M: carried Buck, Bishop and 'Clark voting aye on roll call.

ORDINANCE NO. B-826, amending Ordinance No. B -131 entitled "AN ORDINANfCE relating to
and regulating traffic, travel and transportation and their incidents upon the streets
and other ways open to the public; prescribing the powers and duties of officers and
others in relation thereto; defining offenses; providing penalties and repealing cer-
tain ordinances concerned with or relating to the subject matter of this ordinance,'°
and declaring an emergency. ", and declaring an emergency.
